This is interesting I glanced at an article a couple days ago predicting this. Something about banning shortselling ? I'll see if I can find it again.

If they banned short selling, and we don't, their stock market will rule the world and ours wont.

When you say crash, what do you mean? Total failure, partial crash, kind of a crash?

Interesting. China is supposed to open their new centralized bank, AIIB this September, and I'm expecting the US stock market crash on Nov 19, 2015 (my interpretation of a prophetic dream). I wonder if this Chinese crash might cause a financial torch-passing to AIIB?

I think it had more to do with this.

The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced today that the seventh meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) will be held in Washington, D.C., June 23-24. The sixth Consultation on People-to-People Exchange (CPE) will be held concurrently with the S&ED.

Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew, as President Obama’s Special Representatives, will be joined for the Dialogue by their respective Chinese co-chairs, State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Vice Premier Wang Yang, along with members of the U.S. delegation and their Chinese counterparts. Vice Premier Liu Yandong, Secretary Kerry’s Chinese co-chair at the Consultation on People-to-People Exchange, will lead the Chinese CPE delegation.

The S&ED will focus on addressing the challenges and opportunities that both countries face on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global areas of immediate and long-term economic and strategic interest.

The CPE promotes and strengthens people-to-people ties between the United States and China in the fields of education, culture, science and technology, sports, women’s issues, and health. It provides a high-level annual forum for government and private-sector representatives to discuss cooperation on exchanges in a broad, strategic manner.

The schedule of press events will include but is not limited to an opening session on Tuesday, June 23, and a U.S. press conference on Wednesday, June 24.

On June 22, Deputy Secretary Antony Blinken will co-host the fifth Strategic Security Dialogue (SSD) with his Chinese counterpart, Executive Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui, June 22.

At the SSD, senior civilian and military officials will exchange views on a range of security issues of strategic importance to both countries.

Something tells me some one knows something big is going to happen soon.

I'm having trouble finding the article I read. All I can find is talk about this downturn . Honestly I think it was linked from you Yahoo news . The reason I remember the article is because of one particular factoid I saw about the education level of working -class Chinese investors who are the ones driving the market currently .

Isn't 10% considered a crash?

Little birdie told me that the meetings went very well for the Chinese. I believe that the meetings will benefit the US as well however there will be some massive changes and expect lots of spin and doom porn about it.

I will post more on this when the time comes and I am ready so for now, feel free to bash etc. all you want regarding this vague post.

Peace out.

I bothered to look through some of the data over the last few years. Change the timeline with the scrolls at the bottom. Not the least bit worried at this point. When it hit's 20% plus in a day, i'll start to worry.
