While cigarettes produced by the tobacco companies contain a vast amount of toxic chemicals, tobacco itself contains nicotine, which is still a harmful, psychoactive drug. It causes addiction and by that very reason it's harmful even if you, say, eat tobacco leaves. It damages the nervous system and the brain, same way as other drugs do.

  1. Link your source or, if it is an offline publication, cite it properly.

  2. Show proof that these substances are actually added to cigarettes.

  3. Read This

The sources I provided for you have already demonstrated that all 4 of the chemicals I mentioned were MAO-I

    Acetophenone
    www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...
    and www.sciencedirect.com...

    Benzophenone
    www.sciencedirect.com...

    Thiazole
    www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

    Farnesol
    lmgtfy.com...

I've already posted this information, except this time I googled all the titles for you. The last link for 'farnesol' shows you how to search for articles by their title.

I knew a girl that ran the MRI section in a hospital and she told me that 30% of people that smoke will die the rest will be OK, what they don't tell you about though is the combination of tarmac and rubber from car tyres which combine and cause microfine particles this is hidden from the public because it causes so much trouble in our bodies.
