Avengers star Patrick Macnee dies

Ever the epitome of the English gent actor Patrick Macnee has died at 93 , from the Avengers to the New Avengers to various film and television roles Patrick Macnee was one of the most recognizable actors , another face of my childhood no longer with us , although he did have a good innings.

A statement on the actor's website read: "Wherever he went, he left behind a trove of memories."
The statement added: "Patrick Macnee was a popular figure in the television industry. He was at home wherever in the world he found himself. He had a knack for making friends, and keeping them."

Bet he has had a good life good on him.

He certainly didn't die prematurely but it's still sad.

A little weird thing has been bugging me for months. A lot of times when TrueBrit makes a post, I could swear it sounded like it was typed with a British accent, but I couldn't place it. Patrick Macnee's voice fits very well. I think that from now on when I read a TrueBrit post I'll picture Patrick Macnee reading it out loud.

Ah Emma Peel.

For those who don't know she is also in game of thrones .

I liked the syndicated reruns as a kid. Well, all those of that generation will be gone soon too. If I could only have a time machine to live back in the day once again. Goodbye Patrick and to an era I miss dearly.
