So when Obama screws over millions, it's a talking point.

When conservatives opt to get rid of Obamacare, it's a tragedy.

By screw over millions...you mean letting 20 Million people see a doctor who couldn't before?

Strange idea of what screwing over Americans is.

And what about the millions who lost their insurance because of this law and now have to pay HIGHER premiums to get LESS INSURANCE coverage than they had before???

And then there's those people who have the same insurance but have seen their rates triple.

Yes....this law is a disaster. It is going to bankrupt the country and only creates a dozen more problems for every one it attempts to solve.

Herman Cain says more losing insurance through Obamacare than gaining it: False

Barbara Comstock said millions of Virginians lost insurance because of Obamacare : False

The thing with actual numbers and facts is that they are verifiable..

As opposed to the same old BS...which has now been thoroughly debunked by reality.

they are just demanding that you take responsibility for your family is all!!
geez considering that that part of obamacare was a republican baby before it was a democratic one, you'd think the republicans would appreciate it at least some!!

thought you liked responsibility??

I love personal responsibility.

I don't know what that has to do with government death panels, dictatorial mandates to purchase a product, however.

It's your responsibility as a law abiding American citizen to subjugate yourself to those death panels, and the individual mandate.

Actually, every retiree in the City of Detroit lost their healthcare due to Obamacare.
There was no provision to keep retirees on the City plan once unACA went into effect.
So, they all lost their insurance.....thousands of older Americans on fixed incomes.
The only ones safe were those old enough to be on Medicare.

I am sure this has happened elsewhere....

thinkprogress.org...

About 24,000 retired Detroit public servants will soon receive letters notifying them that they are losing their health insurance on March 1, even as the city claims to be negotiating with retirees’ groups to strike a better deal on health care. The bankrupt city’s emergency manager Kevyn Orr is sticking to the same proposal for drastic retiree health care cuts that he initially intended to implement this month, prompting a group that represents retired Detroit workers to threaten they will sue the city.
For the two-thirds of the retiree group who are old enough to be eligible for Medicare, the plan means shifting onto the government-run insurance program for seniors. But 8,000 younger retirees will have their insurance plans replaced with a monthly stipend check of just $125 to subsidize the cost of insurance plans they will have to find on their own. When that plan was initially floated last fall, a pair of retired firefighters young enough to be stuck with stipend checks told ThinkProgress that the change would doom their recoveries from the serious injuries they sustained protecting the city. Retired librarian Gwendolyn Beasley, 67, said the shift to Medicare’s less-generous coverage would mean choosing between groceries and prescriptions.

I think poor Detroit went bankrupt and the overseer cut their health beneObama's Affordable Care Act could lift a financial burden off Detroitfits...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

www.businessinsider.com...
But Obamacare will give states and cities a major out. Instead of providing health care to under-65 retirees, they can tell them to go buy health plans in the Obamacare exchanges. In many cases, those retirees will qualify for substantial subsidies to buy such plans. States and localities will often stand to save thousands of dollars per retiree per year, even if they provide a cash stipend to help each employee buy insurance in the exchange.Text

Those are great stats. It really drives home the fact that many, many Americans have seen their insurance payments skyrocket so 1% of the population can have insurance.

Though by now I think it's actually up to around 6 million Americans now have insurance that didn't before.

So, yay for that 2% of the population that has insurance now! Screw the millions and millions of Americans who are paying vastly more for insurance, in every possible aspect, than they were before. Think of that 2%!

Guaranteed votes for life

Yes, they lost their healthcare....thanks for the link.
They have also since lost that stipend....what replaced it is a HSA that negates the federal subsidy.**
Most can only afford Bronze plans, which covers nothing until HUGE deductibles are met.
So, even with unACA, they are really not insured.

**ETA
they were allowed to drop the HSA...and then keep their subsidies.

Star my friend. For the sake of [Statutory] clairity; and my sanity... for the statement to be 100% true, the correct status would be 'U.S. Citizen' or 'U.S. Person' rather than an American citizen... That term denotes a constitutional (14th amendment) citizen not a statutory ' U.S. Citizen' and thus in regards to the 'United States' [the corporation that is the Federal government] is a 'non-citizen national', not to be confused with 'national of the United States' which would also submit to the subjugation aforementioned.

Statutory 'Status' - Easy Peasy right?

May need to do a 'declaring civil [statutory] status 101' workshop me thinks

Government has and always will operate under the guise of creating the problem, only to create the "solution" as a last resort.

This is designed to fail. Even Gruber knows that.

How are they civilised?

Is it because they have some sort of socialist government?

Is that the code-word for "civilised"?

They dropped their healthcare because the mandates of the new unACA guidelines ALLOWED them to drop the retirees!!!!
They were dropped months before the bankruptcy was finalized.

Agreed. Given that the whole institution of 'insurance' in any regard [life, auto, home, health, etc] is a scam... The idea of passing off liability in any capacity to a third party is, in my opinion, antithetical to liberty itself.

This is an issue and problem that doesn’t have to be

The healthcare industry is too pricey for ordinary human beings. The system allows that to happen for whatever reason so human beings in a modern society need insurance that is also priced out of the ordinary person’s price range.

So what has ALL AND EVERY OTHER MODERN CIVILIZED SOCIETY DONE?

Either single payer for all or some form of overall subsidies for all and they have solved their health care and insurance issues to a great degree where their citizens can at least get a modicum of decent care

America because of the Republican Party and their clueless brainwashed followers refuse to enter the modern era and all want to magically wish-fulfill or just ignore the problem and let humans beings die

THE IGNORANT AND VERY STUPID American people elect these ignoramuses of the GOP that is stopping ordinary progress that civilized people have already easily accomplished

When are you people ever going to wake up and become human beings?

Single payer is the only way: It’s inevitable and it works

So...because I don't like getting shafted so somebody else benefits, I'm an "ignorant and very stupid republican and also not a human being" or something?

Funny, I didn't know I was republican. Fairly certain I'm human. Ignorant and stupid would depend on who you ask I guess.

Do I have to register as a republican now?

Eesh.

Naw...I think it's a matter of taking care of each other. Let's not forget, this was not the plan Obama was looking for...it was the only he could get. Now on the other hand, there's always the Repubican plan for health care...

Calling them stupid is charitable.

What’s wrong with making a society where everyone gets basic human health care?

It’s not nirvana, or paradise or any kind of utopia it’s just basic common sense and moral sense… basic like brushing ones teeth in the morning.

It’s ridiculous to let people die and or expose them to bad health because the system is out of control…. And we refuse to erect a system that is working in all civilized countries because of what?

Some kind of chauvinism that we cant learn from other people.

Some silly philosophy about socialism or some nonsense about taxes

Like children they utter:

I DON’T WANT MY TAX MONEY USED TO HELP PEOPLE

A good system helps ALL equally and gives basic care to everybody in the country.

This system we have now is barbaric.

America is the ISIS of civilization

The GOP philosophy is morally and spiritually bankrupt as well as the epitome of ignorance

No one in the world follows their philosophy
