If you promote for these things to be taken seriously by adults then get ready to be scorned, ridiculed, insulted and all the other things that a society does to maintain itself as a functioning unit.

Societies aren't all the same. After decades of thinking about what Santa Clause could be the metaphor for, I pretty much concluded that he wasn't a metaphor, but rather, a type-cast character who could be used in fantasy stories.

A few years ago, in a different society wherein Santa Clause was taken as a metaphor of the elder capable of blessing children, and the children came, I found it unconscionable to withhold a blessing.

Different society, different culture. No parents were angered, quite the opposite. A good experience for all.

It seems perhaps our buddy Morpheus isn't the creator of "Trapism" as he would have us believe....
