Hmmm. I learn something new every day.

As an American, I never knew that the word "grooming" carried that definition in British English (until I just looked it up).



For my fellow American ATS members who, like myself, were ignorant to this definition, here is a British definition for "grooming", which may help you understand the article in the OP:

grooming noun (SEX)
The criminal activity of becoming friends with a child, especially over the internet, in order to try to persuade the child to have a sexual relationship with you.

so basically, gangs of asians run up to random kids, maybe dirty kids, and groom them ???

.....im not sure how i feel about asian gangsters combing my sons hair.

Hahaha! That was literally the first image that popped into my confused American mind!
Luckily a quick Google search fixed my mental imagery. (Though to be honest...I'd rather be imagining groups of gangs making kids look fabulous, than I would the true meaning of the phrase)
