RIP James Horner

Horrible news coming out that movie composer James Horner has passed away in a single engine plane crash.

So many amazing film scores:

Aliens
Braveheart
Titanic
Willow
Star Trek II
Field of Dreams

Plus tons of other films, the world is a little quieter today.

I have watched most of those movies and some had
incredible musical scores.

Terrible tragedy. I have several of his movie scores and he was such a talented composer.

He was flying solo and his plane went down.

Film music is my biggest and most beloved hobby, I saw the news in my RSS reader last night and couldn't believe it (still don't), but it was a nice surprise to see him commemorated here as well. He was one of the all-time greats and several of the most successful films in history (Titanic, Avatar) would likely not have been so without him. Anyone who can write music so inspiring must have a truly beautiful soul and personally I'm 100% sure he's in a better place right now.
