#1 - Moments

How many moments have you had,
That I can never experience?
Things ingrained in your memory,
Things I'll never feel or see..

Those times that have made you grow,
Defined you as a individual.
Those are moments I will never know,
The ones you've experienced on your own.

To see all the things you have seen,
Learn the lessons you have learned,
How you made it I will never know,
Through all life's twists and turns..

So much I have missed in your life,
That has made you who you are.
If I could only walk a mile or two,
In your battered and well worn shoes..

#2 - Decision

Nervous...a big choice ahead of me,
I don't know what the outcome will be.
A decision that will change the flow,
Of everything I have ever known.

I don't understand the master plan,
But I know it will change the way I am.
Moments like these are so essential,
Filled with opportunity and potential.

#3 - Tea Time


So impatient, can’t wait much longer,
Hurry up! I need my tea!
Annoyed, I tap my finger on the counter,
I watch the pot eagerly.
Waiting, thinking, tapping, watching

Look up at the wall, to check the time
The minutes tick by, one, two, three
Pacing back and forth, what to do, what to do
Well there is that article I was going to read
Watching, counting, pacing, reading

Any day now, I hate to wait,
I lift the lid to check and see.
I feel the warmth upon my face,
How much longer will it be?
Thinking, doing, feeling, waiting

Pot starts to steam, it’s close to done.
I grab the milk, cup, and tea.
A mental list, do I have everything?
Waiting at the counter impatiently.
Doing, thinking, wondering, waiting


I hear the whistle, yay, it’s done!!
I pour the water in the cup.
I sit down with my magazine,
Savoring the moment, I drink it up.
Hearing, doing, reading, enjoying
