It's freakin HOT here. Was 105 degrees here today. Tomorrow, same. Saturday, same. Sunday...a cooling trend of 101. I will break out my parka in preparation! My only salvation is knowing it was 127ish in Death Valley today.

This is California. The "2 Minute Shower" state. We don't even have the benefit of cooling off in the ocean (insert theme to Jaws).

Now I know you think this is silly to rant about, but it's FREAKIN 98 degrees as I type this (9:04pm) and, if we are very lucky...it will cool down to the upper 50s sometime before sunrise when it will heat up hotter than an EZbake Oven light bulb in less than an hour.
At the same time, I sympathize in all seriousness with those parts of the US that are flooding and lives have been lost.

Tell me your stories of snow; of temps that won't fry an egg on my kneecap. I will settle for drizzle, fog...heck, even if your neighbor spits in your general direction!

I wanna live vicariously through your weather.

Hawaii, speak up! San Diego, shout out....Montana? Alaska? Canada? Santa???

105 is just about typical at the peak of summer in most places of Australia, I love weather like that.

When it starts reaching over 115, that's when it's getting a little to hot, lol.

Can you throw an AC block party pointed North, please?

I'm in Texas. I often work in direct, brutal open sun.
It was only 90 F today. It felt nice when a breeze stirred.
Drink lots of cold water to keep the core cooled if you don't enjoy the feeling of your brain simmering in its own juices.

My brain juices ran out my ears at 103. How do you function with feeling like jerky and bacon?

We had several snowstorms this past winter and below zero temperatures for weeks....family up north complained about a total of 12 feet of snow as well.

Luckily I was ready for it. N3B parka and some thermals kept me warm. Your weather would have me packing.

Is that REAL beer or the yellow water (being PC here) you Americans call beer?

edit on 6182015 by BobbyRock because: (no reason given)

You rain tease! I'll just walk skyclad and sing "down in the boondocks". Might scare the neighbors tho. I've seen me skyclad.
