All caps title usually equals overblown or flat out false.

Seems this falls into that.

I don't live too far away from Peachbottom. I googled... don't see any news.
No local news reports yet.
We did just have a line of thunderstorms move through there an hour or so ago.
Maybe storm damaged a radiation detector?

The plant does have a tarnished safety history.

Nor am I.

Other than on sites that shall remain unnamed. They know who they are.

Perhaps a false reading.

These recent readings indicate not the RADCON he was speaking of.

Backtracking story now through NRC.

BP has his panties in a bunch.

CPM: current 77 Low 14 High 199
Average 45, Deviation 26.8

When RBL is above the radiation background range and other requirements are met, an Radcon-5 Alert will be issue and Email/Text messages are sent.

They had a drill at this plant April 10 last year.

Harford County's Emergency Operations Center a few miles north of Bel Air was packed Tuesday, as county, state and municipal emergency officials responded to an attack on the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in nearby Delta, Pa. To the good fortune of everyone in the room and those living in the communities surrounding the nuclear power plant, it was a mock attack designed to test the readiness of various emergency response systems.

They plan on using tropical storm Bill to cover something?

What is odd is that BP usually has his ducks in a row,
and his site is a wealth of information…still checking.

Uh huh, right. Check this:

** Disclaimer:
Some radiation monitoring sites are maintained by the government and other are privately owned. In either case the reading may not be accurate. Our software uses statistical analyses to generate these alerts. CPM (counts per minute) is modified by our software to reduce false radiation alert messages.

Do Not PANIC. It could be software failure or bad equipment. Always check with a second source like the news stations or the government before making any decisions about this alert.

FUKUSHIMA IS HERE

All the flotsam from the tsunami came from Fukushima? It's all radioactive?
Huh, I thought other parts of Japan were affected too.

So by deliberately not conforming to the conventions of Standard American English, you're unequivocally referring to Baltimore, Maryland? What kind of coonery?
