It's called 8 finger tapping and it's awesome.

I thought tapping was easy until it tried it- it is far, far more harder then it looks let alone perfecting it.

I've tried it and don't find it difficult, only challenging to get a comfort zone and position for long play. I was playing this style standing when I was young by accident actually. Just cause it felt right and I could get a unique pop 'n ping style for my personal style of writing.

Might have to revisit.

He's doing it wrong! This is a highly irregular procedure! Call the guitar police!

It is better styled to acoustic IMO. The spacing of the strings and the lack of feedback makes it the obvious choice.

I couldn't tap or make a barre to save my live-my hand won't allow it.

I actually found it easier to learn on the classical guitar with nylon or catgut strings. Much more forgiving.

I now play 12 string and can still do a little but not so easy.

Ha, triangle player. I've been playing guitar for 23 years, and I guarantee he hasn't been playing this way for 30 years.
