A secretive agreement negotiated behind closed doors by government bureaucrats and more than 600 corporate lobbyists. It threatens everything you care about - Congress.
It isn't over yet !! Say NO!!

There's got to be some trick to this...

The corporations control congress, not the people. That much as been proven by a Princeton study.

There has to be something to this that benefits the corporate powers, we're just not seeing it. Perhaps if it gets shot down like this, the people can feel that they've won, only for a much scarier version of the TPP to sneak through at a later time.

Wear the people out, then ram it through when they're distracted? They've been trying that with net neutrality...

This isn't a victory for the people, this is some kind of shell game, I assure you all. We are not seeing the larger picture here.

If they get tired of trickery, they will just order their minions in Congress to pass any legislation that they need to approve the agreement. They will do it right in our faces. It has come down to the point where they can do this now.

What can we do about it?

Not much.

What they'll likely do is chop the TPP into tiny parts and attach them to unrelated bills in the House and Senate.

Unless we read every single piece of legislation and look for parts of the TPP in them, we'll never see it happening.

This is how you pack a very large object over a mountain. In this instance, we the people are the mountain standing in the way. What congress will do is dismantle the TPP into tiny parts and carry each little tiny part over the mountain. Once all the parts are on the other side the mountain, they'll put the pieces of the TPP back together again.

Before your very eyes the TPP got through, and not a single person will be any of the wiser.

I think this was a show to see how the public would react, and they've been planning to sneak it through attached to other legislation or under a different name for a long time anyway.
