Two Kansas radio stations were fined for a game of naked twister. It is unclear if any profanity or the like was used. But can stations be fined for a mental picture it creates? It is interesting to see the radio stations buckling under like this. Listening to the Howard Stern show on the way into work today he inmdicated that radio exec had and are lobbying the FCC to censor Satelite Radio as well. Wonder if that will fly as if they do that then the broadcast TV stations will no doubt go after cable. Its this vicious little circle we may be getting in. 500 channels all "Leave it to Beaver"

WASHINGTON - Federal regulators on Wednesday proposed a $220,000 indecency fine against the owner of two Kansas radio stations for broadcasting a "Naked Twister" game with local strippers and graphic interviews with porn stars.

I think it was probably a bit more than the "okay, put your left foot on square three and your right foot on the blue circle." In fact, given that porn stars were interviewed and the interview was "graphic" I think it's pretty clear violation of what's acceptable.

Now, it would be fine if they put it on the Adult Channel. Nobody has a problem with that. But they do if it's for general broadcast -- just like your having to pay for porn broadcast channels and them not being available on free local broadcast here in the US.
