What am I doing wrong???

What in the world are you trying to do? Are you trying to get red text and getting light blue instead? There is a drop down box that has colors listed. It's the second box from the left. I hope this helps.

No. I do get red, blue, green or any basic color.
I am trying to post a long list and using multiple colors will help with the interpretation. The tread explaining how to do it does not work for me. I could only get the text codes (red, blue or green) to work not the color codes - ffff99, cdffff etc.

I see. The site might have been changed since the instructions were made and the codes might be different. I really don't know a thing about it because I don't mess with color. Sorry I can't help.

That's from 2009 and things have changed since then.
I ran a search. Here's a list of stuff if you have the patience to read through it all. Finding something newer (within the past couple of years) will be your best bet. Good luck.

If you notice...what youre wanting to do for singling things in a post is not done here...hardly ever, mostly never. You wont see a mish-mosh of colors in a thread.

Look up a mod (they are listed as to who is online rt then). They can help...

Yes that's the BB code I tried too use.

I made a list to determine if certain type of events can be tied to certain cycles when I did my research on cycles. The list is redundant for me but fairly accurate. I just though someone can still find it interesting or useful, because it was a lot of work. It is from when the Earth was born up to 1960. See partial screenshot

That looks interesting. Another member suggested talking to a mod. I would do that. They know a lot of stuff about code used here.

I'd like to know how to go about to get the quote at the bottom of my posts ("If you got nothing but a sense of humor.... you will survive."), in slightly bigger font size, gold (if possible else another color) and centered.
