Have you ever actually read any Rothbard? In particular, his book For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto

He ruthlessly attacks corporations for all of the right reasons--particularly dealing with the way corporations make deals with government (because of the nature of government) to use regulations that kill all of their competition.

Libertarians do not "protect" corporations, all businesses should have to suffer the consequences of their decisions and factor profit and loss.

What this article fails to mention is that large corporations like governments.

If there were no monopoly of violence (government) for corporations to appeal to, then they would not have the power to bully the American people (or any people).

All government should be abolished, if we could succeed at that single endeavor, humanity would flourish. Corporations buy government because government exists.

I am glad for the conspiracy of libertarianism. It is a conspiracy against the state.

I really have a hard time understanding how you can be a Christian and a Libertarian, the two are mutually exclusive.

I wondered the same thing, but it depends on the wisdom of the individual person.

Libertarians know that the individual owns his body, and that things like drug-use, abortion, and prostitution are personal vices--and by their nature, non-criminal behaviors.

Some Christians would understand that fact, and they would know that it is immoral to use violence to control the minds of other people.

Some Christians, of course, will use Christianity to fulfill their authoritarian goals (like Hitler).

It doesn't matter if you are a liberal or a conservative--both groups can find common ideological ground on the fact that, both groups use government violence to force their views on others.

It's just a question of who wants to control what? The left wants to control your property, while refusing to acknowledge the existence and importance of private property--while the right wants to control your mind and the content that you consume, while forcing you to agree with their opinion regarding ethics.

The common thread that separates libertarians from everyone else--is the left and right's equal desire to control others.

This piece was not anti-liberatarian nor anti-christian. Many of you seemed to miss, perhaps by not reading the article, that this was about Big Business manipulating Christian setiment for it's own ends in a very calculated manner.

It neither indorses or opposes, "what some have called 'Christian Libertarianism' (from the article)" only the fact that it was Big Business and Big Money encouraging (and paying) 'Ministers' to preace their gospel of profit in order to 'lobby' the public.

The history of 'libertarianism' is a wholely different subject.
