well o for one feel the founding fathers had good reason for the second amendment and i feel it is just as valid today as the time it was written. when i was a teen in nc every year we had lots of people with rifles and shotguns in the gun racks of their picup trucks and never did we have any gun violence at the school why? because all the fools knew a gun was only a parking lot away. we didn't need armed cops in school either.

We need to repel gun laws. Stop allowing states to add fees for us to be able to exercise our rights. Everyone should be able to open or conceal carry if they choose. We shouldn't have pay a fee for the right to self-defense.

Jesse have you faced chico's revenge lately?

Oh, but loosening the gun laws have decreased crime in many parts of the country.

I have seen the same thing happen with public lands for the last 30 years.
First they started putting buffer zones around national parks.
Then they turned these buffer zones into wilderness areas.
Then they put buffer zones around these wilderness areas.
Then they turned these buffer zones into wilderness areas.
Then they put buffer zones around them.
And if the government did not go along with the tree huggers plans the government got taken to court by the tree huggers.

Come to find out that the government BLM and forest service personal charged with this public land were card carrying tree huggers and would not fight there friends the tree huggers.

Plenty of private business have no gun policy and Mom's Demand Action have actually got a couple of businesses to change their policy and do just that.

Hooray for Texas. I live here and it's about time...we should have been the
first state to allow open public carry.

But at least we had the good judgement to allow guns on campus.

You see, freedom is not free...you have to pay for it...sometimes the
cost is an innocent life...

But sometimes...it saves lives.

It's about personal responsibility. It's about being responsible for your
own safety--your own welfare. This is the tenet that freedom is built
upon.

When you cede your responsibility for your own personal welfare
to another you give that person a very special power over you.
You give them control.

I understand this--if your are weak, disabled, young, or feeble, but hardy
men of good conscious should NEVER cede responsibility for their own safety
...not in this country...and especially not in this state.

So bravo Texas...While it may be true that because of this new law some
macho college brawl turns deadly, or a road rage incident turns deadly, or
a sudden rage over a minor altercation turns deadly...at least these
incidents involved non-innocent parties

But it also may be that a college campus shooter is thwarted in the act of
attempting to kill dozens, or it may be that a random senseless killing
spree is stopped DEAD in its tracks because of men of good conscious not
afraid to take responsibility for themselves.

And for all the incidents of rage fueled death between parties that may occur
because of this new law, remember, that these people were not innocent,
UNLIKE all of those that have been killed because of those of us who were so
afraid of personal responsibilty that we legislated away one of our most
important and protected rights--a right that this country was originally
founded upon--the right to protect your own life.

So, if you fear, do not fear each other...for we can only harm so much.
Fear those that you allow to govern and control you, for history teaches that
these men ALWAYS cause the most harm. There are millions of innocent
dead people who, if given the chance, would come back from the grave to
warn you of this truth.

Don't let their sacrifice die a second time...always choose freedom

Correct. It's the right of the business owner to disallow firearms on their own property.

If a business has the right to refuse service to someone based on their sexuality, can they also refuse service if they have a Gun?

No, the 2nd amendment is part of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution.

Sure, but it doesn't trump property rights. Business owners can and do have the right to post signs saying people can not carry a gun on their property and folks who are carrying must abide by those signs.

It's the same as being able to kick someone off of your property if they come in trying to preach to your customers. That individual has a First Amendment-protected right to do that but the property owner has the right to kick them out.

Maintaining rights requires balance.

More gun laws to punish law abiding citizens, really?

Howzabout NO. Hell no, even.

There are far, far too many of them to begin with.

Steps to take

1. Repeal back to FDR, 1934 Gun control act.
2. Recognize and honor the second amendment and the prohibition against government infringement.

3. Then take a hard look at how 1919 alcohol prohibition resulted in Federal creep into passing laws concerning criminal law where criminal law is the sole jurisdiction of the states. These have been coordinated attacks by progressives against the US Constitution.

4. investigate the use of charitable foundations who are undermining the US constitution. Don't believe me that its been a coordinated attack starting in 1908 then watch this video, at least watch a few minutes starting at 19:45 minute mark. IF that doesn't grab you attention then you either lost or one of "them"

Third thread today Jesse. You wouldn't be bored by any chance would you buddy ? Honestly it's nice to see you with a little time on your hands .

.

You honestly believe it's actually Jesse Ventura posting these threads?

That's hilarious.

Someone is assigned to spam ATS with threads like this in an attempt to keep JV relevant to the conspiracy crowd. It's an insult to the site, in my opinion.

Ha....I was thinking the exact same thing. Odd how someone thinks it is really Jesse that is posting on here.

Funny enough, I doubt his people will post again in this thread. Seems they are kings of "driveby's" here. Post a topic then read the discussion and use for radio or whatever, taking credit for the ideas that come from members on many sites.

Yep.

Again, it's an insult to the site and I'm not sure why ATS staff allow it to continue unless they think having a JV forum here adds some notoriety to the site.

Meh...likely some kind of revenue generation in some fashion...or member drive of some sort. Could even be a deal with ATS and ORAtv in some fashion.....

I'm wondering that, too.

Gee, Jesse, we thought you were an opinionated hero of the masses... How about you actually tell us something? I don't think that's too much to ask for...

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

The only thing you need to know and repeat is this:

Gun control = Victim disarmament.

It's a bummer to see so much resentment toward Jesse due to this issue. I have no idea if there is some $ making deal involved here, but I was under the impression that when a high profile name is created on ATS, the credentials etc have to be confirmed by staff etc, and guidelines must be met. I do remember when it was announced that Jesse was coming to ATS. At one point, he REALLY was posting here.

If Jesse has a team working to post random things, then never really participate in the threads (as himself), why is it the mods/owners not addressed it yet?

With that said, I did see a thread a while back where one of the owners was pretty steamed due to Jesse's real lack of participation here.. I just wonder why it's still happening? If there's hired hands posting, isn't there some kind of rule against it? I just hate to see Jesse get smeared like this, I like the man after all.
