Bumping my old thread doesn't get it in the Recent posts

I just bumped an old thread of mine, which I explain why in the posting to bump it. The first time, the post didn't go through on the thread, nor did it get it into the Recent postings list. The second time, the post made it onto the thread, but didn't get the thread into the Recents postings.

Perhaps a moderator would have time to explain this to me, or show me how to bump my old thread, for new members.

If you could link the thread here it'd be helpful.

Edit: If it's the "signature" thread, it did bump, but it's in the "off topic" tab.

Thanks for answering me, Heff. I now remember that's because of the forum I put the thread in, when I first wrote it. Thanks. Facepalming about now. I am aware that off-topic doesn't make it onto Recents.
