I just moved back to Northern CA and decided that would head to the local lodge and inquire about a petition .

I had once had a signed petition that unfortunately i never submitted because , well I was in a transitioning period point in my life and I felt I might not have the time to learn the craft .

Anyway I can see the lodge directly through my living room window so i took a walk and well.... I was a bit disappointed at the condition the lodge was in

It's beat up with some holes in the front and graffiti on the side of the building.

But I don't judge a book by the cover .

I thought maybe some "Members" here might be able to tell me some history on the lodge and why it's appears to be in rough shape . I would have asked while i was their ,however the gate was locked and nobody was in the lodge .

anyway I took some pics with my phone

the bottom of the star has a huge hole in it .

and old lodge i assume

found a little bit of info on it .

The Woodbridge Masonic Lodge No. 131 is a Masonic Lodge in Woodbridge, California and also the name of its historic building. The building was designed by architect Charles Beasley and was built in 1882 to serve as a meeting hall for Woodbridge Lodge.[1][2] The lodge still meets in the building.[3]

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.[1] The building was described in its NRHP nomination as "a unique example of the nineteenth century Gothic Revival style...expressed in a very controlled and geometric [way]

maybe its supposed to look rough ..

Being a Mason seems to be a declining interest. You know all their activities are on the weekends, and a lot of people don't have all weekend off any more.

Some Lodges don't meet every day so that might be a reason it is locked up. Contact the Grand Lodge and find out when they meet.
