The couple weren't unarmed, they were recklessly driving an automobile.

Seriously?? So driving a car recklessly makes it ok for a cop, ticked off because they denied his authority by running, to leap atop their hood and fire 40 shots through the windshield into people that were most assuredly dead to begin with. Here in Ohio, cops can do pretty much anything they want under the guise of "protecting themselves".

Judging from those screen pics, this guy and his brother are the two reddest people on the planet earth.

From boozin' it?

I agree that it is a bit much from OP, but it could show a trend in the way this man handles pressure situations. I would let the courts handle this, everyone has rights

As a matter of fact yes, a 2,000lb automobile can be used as / considered a weapon.

No cops in Ohio cant do anything they want under the guise of protecting themselves. I say this because SCOTUS has set the standard and requirements to review the reasonableness of an officers use of force.

Who is Officer Brelo? Never heard of him. May be helpful to put some background information in your post.

while i agree with most of what you have said, and i applaud you on being able to see it from accross the pond, the civil case was won in favor of the 2 victims he murdered. if he was not a cop, he would have been found guilty for "defending" himself the way he did. but, since he was a cop......

when the first patrol car got behind the suspect's car why didn't they stop?
evading police doesn't end well for anyone.

while you may be reading the letter of the law, the spirit of the law says differently. it's not just ohio.
yes, firsthand experience, and a few eyewitness accounts. i imagine if you dug deep enough, like i did here, i dare say you would find a loophole.

No they were not. Their car backfired in front of the police station and the cops just started firing at their car.

Would you stop if people were shooting at you when you had done nothing wrong.

The police themselves tell us to drive to the nearest police station if we are fearful.

But in some minds that justifies being murdered.

i thought the shots happened at the end of the chase, not during the chase. i may be wrong.
