I'm going to make a statement now. It is completely obvious most of the responders did not view the video and merely commented off the title .

Well you guys missed a heart touching moment and I'm ashamed of everyone of you that failed to take the time to watch an act of kindness .

I understand the underlying statement. I'm just saying that if we were to see a populous act the same way it would be much more challenging for those people who do view homeless people in such a negative way.

I didn't mean to come off as offsetting

I can't speak for anyone else but I watched it before posting..

That's why I said some will take advantage of an opportunity and some won't.

Sorry, got sidetracked.

We have welfare in Canada, if that's what you mean.

I haven't heard that story, although it sounds almost like a case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. We do have a family friend who is a multimillionaire but chooses to live in a small apartment, however. Some like extravagant lifestyles, some don't I suppose. I know that if I were to have several million in the bank, I wouldn't be acting like some people you see on TV. 11 TV's in one room. 1000 cars. Houses that are 10,000 square feet or more. It gets to the point where there is just no point.

I would probably just get an acreage, set it up for off-grid living, and start up a business for aquaponic-grown organic meats and produce.

I To the three replies above .

It just amazes me that anyone could watch that video and not comment on the selflessness of the homeless man .

But I guess many people get condition to only look for the bad and not acknowledge the good .

thankfully I am different. everyone on this site is fully aware of the plight of the homeless and the normal reactions . One man shows selflessness but no one has heart enough to comment on his actions. Instead they only comment on the bad side, that's what viewing doom all day will get you I guess ?

personally I can't handle emotion I
as a cancer (horoscope) woman normally I would just crawl into my shell to protect myself
there is nothing worse when u see all this hurt and struggle in world on the other hand I get so overwhelmed when I see people doing beutiful things

say what u wish
but we are actually beautiful I think we underestimate us
(I am sure that was ur point of this tread.. correct me if not

THEN MY SCHYZO ME
flips to this monster
this will sound so aweful

but then I think what is the point
eg
sponsoring all these hungry kids in Africa !
don't have them if you cant feed them # !
we should send them contraception before trying to supply them with anything else
sorry if what i said offends anyone

I'll tell you what. Watch the video and then give me your opinion on the video . Not the social economics involved into what caused the video. Not a generalized opinion of homelessness. Watch the video and see what you take from it then I will have a discussion with you .

My God the video is only 2 1/2 minutes long .

ok I am pretty sure the amout would be same for unemployed and homeless
so we are talking here in AU 640 a for 2 weeks

my weekly rent is 320 I have a 3bedroom app

then if I got a buddy to share with (me better yet 2 or 4)

and if I spend 320 on other stuff weekly than together we would manage

""the resets what u wrote is ....
I have so many thoughts in my head I would flood this thread

that was the comment in general about pessimism

I'm not sure how much welfare pays out here. It's probably different per province.

Apparently this is a hoax.

I researched it as a hoax and found several articles. Most of them are based on suspicion and not actual fact . But SO deemed it hoax.

So it probably is but I will post the opinion and let everyone decide .

One YouTube user, with the handle ClemtheRanter, said he previously starred in a Halloween-themed production with Paler Lin that was 'set up' with the purpose of gaining traffic and profit.

'A large number of YouTube prank videos are staged,' he said. 'I was involved in a bloody eyeball scare prank by Josh Paler Lin. My part of the video was staged... me getting scared by Josh.

'I asked him if he could give me a shout-out and put my name in the description below so I can get some traffic to my YouTube channel, but it never happened.

It seems that the hoax hasn't been proven. But is supposed to be so by association . I guess there's zero chance that this guy was staging another hoax and got surprised by the actions .

I liked it.
Staged or not, set up or real - it does show a wonderful ideal.

I'm not sure which posts you are referring to.

personally, I half-expected the video to be just what it was -- i.e., a person in need helping others who are also in need.

So I was not surprised at all with what the guy did with the money. I suppose I would have been one of the posteres whom you would have thought didn't watch it, because I probably would not have said something like "OMG -- That was beautiful and unexpected!".

I probably would have said something like 'opethPA' said in his post:

It's like anything in life.... Some people will take an opportunity presented and turn it into something good while other people will take it and waste it.

I did watch the video and I thought it was lovely what the homeless guy did.

I honestly thought when he came out of the store that he had bought loads of beers.

When I realised he bought food and then started handing it out aaah what a sweetie.

Just shows how wrong we can be sometimes when we jump to conclusions. We all do that sometimes.

Set up or not its a lesson to be learned.

have a beer
