Am in total agreement. Why would the right be afraid of a candidate that in all likelihood that will not get the nomination? I could see a justifiable fear if Warren threw her hat in the ring, even read a few articles on strategy by the RNC if that scenario became reality.

I had to double check that I wasn't on HuffPo when I read the title.

Democrats lie about Republicans and admit it and don't care. Republicans lie back and don't care.

Both parties are disgusting.

What was the purpose of the Essay? What was the Context? Why did he write it?

Can you illustrate what exactly is so disgusting about it? Do you deny that rape fantasies are entrenched within our evolutionary programming? Men and women fantasize about rape; you've done it, I've done it, it's a universal trait amongst humans. Bernie is not condoning rape; he is not bashing women. If you did actually read the article, you clearly did not take the time to comprehend its contents. To say that we fantasize about rape is akin to saying we have limbs.

What should be the in question is the purpose that fantasy serves and why we fantasize about rape. Does the act of fantasizing help prevent us from acting rashly? Perhaps, from an evolutionary perspective, it would.

LOL, Sanders is more of a threat to Hillary, and most people I know who are against her, are hoping beyond hop he gets the nomination.

He'll be a sacrificial lamb led to the slaughter.

Most politicians scare me. But what's even more frightening than the politicians (on both sides) are the people who buy into them, and get worked up. Zombie crowds chanting 'yes we can' or waving bibles in the air saying 'He's God's choice'. Its all mindless.

It isn't just the right wing who is afraid of someone like Sanders. The left wing is easily as afraid, even if more accepting, as the man dies not stand with the power structures. Every other candidate, besides maybe Paul, does.

That being said, I find Bernie Refreshing, hes a self avowed Socialist and makes no appologies for it....

I dont agree with him at all, but it is nice to have some honesty about presidential hopefuls intentions.....

It's getting quite exciting watching folks endorse their POTUS candidate hopefuls - hope for change for the better, hope for a fresh start and someone who will just set America back on track towards being that great and wonderful nation that so many wish for and cling to.

It's a beautiful thing to read these forums where folks are absolutely convinced their vote will make a difference.........this time.........and that by winding-up their perceived political foes they will somehow be vindicated in their flag waving for the right guy.

I agree with Bernie’s progressive philosophy but here’s another instance where for some strange reason I always had an aversion to him. He just didn’t look right to me. I couldn’t explain my feelings.

For some reason I felt something sinister about the man and didn’t know why


So this may be the explanation.


I also felt the same way about Elizabeth Warren, a great progressive but something there also I felt queasy about her.

But this is a story that was created in his mind and not necessarily reality("his rape fantasy"). Even if it is relevant to not have discretion in his ideas proves how screwed his mind is. dudes a wierdo. Reading the whole thing, one can only think this guy is a complete idiot. I'm confused at people saying it's offensive to suggest the idea of a woman fantasizing about rape...are you not aware that these are common fantasies, yes for women as well? It is a very common fantasy...people must be sheltered if they think the idea of someone, a female, fantasizing about that is offensive...it's obviously taboo, but it is also common, so...get real...everyone expressing anger seems to be based on the idea that a rape fantasy is unthinkable, when in reality it is quite common...

There are many things that people do and fantasize about that we may find odd or perverted, but on the other hand there may be things that you and I do that could be categorized as such.

We need to face it. Humans are sexual creatures and our desires/fantasies are normal.

Unfortunately, this entire issue is just an attempt by both sides of the political spectrum to fling mud at Sanders in an attempt to discredit.

It appears to be working because many people are knee-jerking in to the "that's perverted" position, while being completely dishonest about their own sexual desires/fantasies.
