I like Bernie Sanders and I view this ridiculous attempt to use this article against him to be an outright smear campaign. He wrote this article as a young man to be nothing more then an honest attempt to ponder human sexuality, gender roles and how those play out through our fantasies....it's a fascinating subject that has and will be discussed way before and after Bernie. Heck just look at this thread, its become almost as important the the OP itself....why because humans think about sex including old Bernie....another reason to like him, he's keeping it real !

If you look at Bernie's history with women, he married his high school sweetheart and had one son.....it appears they were both very involved in the issues of the time, 60's "hippies" and for the next decade he ran repeatedly and unsuccessfully for statewide offices under the banner of the fringe Liberty Union Party. In 1981 his surprise victory for Mayor of Burlington was the real start of his political career. He ended up to be a very effective Mayor and ran the corrupt local government out on a rail, where the local business and community thrived. Unfortunately his 1st marriage did not survive and I can find nothing that suggests it was anything other then 2 people growing apart and parting ways peacefully.

In 1988 he met his current wife Jane Sanders and became a step father to her 3 children, it appears they have been a happy blended family for the past 27 years. Him and his wife share a passion to further and improve education in America, to improve conditions for Veterans and to focus on job creation for the middle class that allows American's to use our collective tax money to improve our infrastructure, while creating American jobs. The majority of people are sick and tired of paying for corporate welfare and the war machine. Bernie's wife is a sharp cookie in her own right and certainly not a "trophy" wife. So, it looks like Bernie values his wife as an "equal" partner and they share a deep commitment to fight the Oligarchy that is, or perhaps has, taken over America.

I would have liked to have seen Bernie run as an Independent, and try and break the 2 party system or at least weaken it....but I understand his dilemma. Like Ron Paul, this man says what he means and has lived a lifetime working toward what he believes is right......both men have led clean lives and just like that old article they tried to use portraying Ron Paul as a racist, lol, that he didn't even write......is a feeble and desperate attempt to discredit decent honest men. Bernie is an important candidate that is going to force some subjects to be debated at the very least...GO Bernie !!

So that dates don't matter.

Sanders is a perv.

And thought himself to be some expert of what women like, and has consistently thought so.

Sounds like federal office material to me! Womanizers seem to be the angels of the bunch, considering congress is largely filled with child rapists and murderers.

So they're going after 45 year old essays to show what he thinks about women?

They really are desperate, pulling at straws to do all the discrediting they can.

In the meantime, FOX NEWS got pretty uppity in 2012 when everyone was asking for Mitt Romney's tax returns from the last ten years. They even said that this was "old news" and therefore didn't matter.

Socialism is a red herring.

Besides, it's skewed by parties...if a republican did it, OMFG, the world would come unhinged...a Dem does it, and only Fox goes off the rails.

Typical political bulls#!@

Sex was a big topic in the 70's. The Pill was in widespread use for about 10 yrs by then, we figured out that Lucy and Ricky did not really sleep in separate twin beds It was a time of questions and exploration.

He's kind of a ho-hum candidate, rather than scary. Once the Democratic Party field fills out, he'll be pulling single digits in the primaries. Of course Fox Network went after him. NBC-MSNBC-ABC-CBS will go after every Republican who even might be a candidate.

I focus on this man message not some stupid essay from the past.......His message is the rights of the masses over individual rights. And that style of leadership is destined to fail time after time. It is also the reason why this country was never meant to be a Democracy but a Republic ruled by laws. The founders understood this simple fact 300 years ago.

I read the whole essay, and I found it disgusting.......

1. It wasnt FOX that broke this story

2......Does it matter WHEN he did it?

3. The man is running in the Democratic party who are the supposed "paragons" of Womens Rights......and the guy pinned a rape fantasy story......

Spin it however you want.......

Slam FOX news if you want...

But the responsibility lays squarely at the feet of Bernie.....

That being said, I find Bernie Refreshing, hes a self avowed Socialist and makes no appologies for it....

I dont agree with him at all, but it is nice to have some honesty about presidential hopefuls intentions.....

This guy is defending FOX news and is from Texas...... Imagine that!!!!! LOL

In the meantime the Dems are all Just Hillary and Obama, busy making their "liberal cause" nonsense like Transgender bathrooms, Racial tensions and Gay Marriage while being a bunch of Mega Corp whores and changing nothing ....

You have grasped the essential nature of today's Democrat leaders.

A rare post, seeing that the right wing and the left wing use the same tactics. Most people take the bait of one side or the other without a thought.

LOL it's American politics!

How the hell is that any different than the LEFT wing going around saying them evil righties hate women, and children, and old people, and gays.

I think the difference is probably because the republicans ban abortions and birth control which is hard on women, they cut funding for education which hurts children, they want to go after social security which is bad for old people and they don't want gays to marry or try to turn them straight.

That's the difference. One side has a somewhat valid argument while the other doesn't.

You know they should be scared.

Until he announced he was running, he was pretty much liked and respected by all in either party.
he IS a good man.
He does have the best interests of the country at heart.
People should just tell the Koch brothers and the rest of the old tired political guard to get lost.
He will bering back the middle class, and they don't want that.

Did you know that GE is bringing some factories back to America at last because it is now on par "slave/working class" with China?
Americans have permitted false fears to rule over them.

Stop being a democrat or a republican or a conservative or a liberal. It is almost too late for this country if people don't wipe away old family allegiances to a system that is nothing but corrupt and start to consider opening their minds (which I have faith are still functioning) to voting for who they hate the least. The one who is NOT fake. THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS A PLAN FOR OPERATING THE UNITED STATES. God all those politicians the clintons, the bushes, the Perry, the Rubios and Cruz's ETC are so FAKE. How anyone puts a ballot in with their names on it because they're part of a party I will never understand. Who actually believes a word that comes out their mouths? Honestly can anyone here tell me that they believe a word these people are saying?

Bernie Sanbders is honest, if he made mistakes who cares. He has a genuine plan for the country. The others are operating from getting elected. Do people understand this? They aren't operating from a plan for America. They are operating from a marketing strategy.

Fox news is for slaves.

What this political season has shown me is that perhaps, liberals aren't a bunch of racists.

Perhaps they actually voted for Obama because of his progressive ideas and ideologies.

Because Dr. Ben Carson is black and liberals hate him.

And ultimately, they (liberals and leftists) won't vote for Bernie because he is a socialist and not a progressive.

It is why I would probably support Bernie more than a progressive would, because a progressive wants a Bush or a Clinton in the White House.

Wow. That's not a loaded set of statements there now is it???

Hey Beez, I heard you're no longer beating your wife and kids is that true??? (see what I mean??)

Actually I think he's hoping that the American People will vote for him. People vote, not labels. So it depends on how many people we have left in this nation I guess.

How would any ideology choose to vote for both of them??? I don't think you know what a Progressive is. Glad to hear you'll be voting for Bernie though.
