Unable to add 'friends' now by clicking avatar link.

Is that intentional? I thought it was just my own 'avatar little guy' that doesn't show me the little icon option to 'friend' me - because, well, it's me. Just like I can't Flag and Star myself. That's fine.

But - I went to friend another member, and the option is removed from the pop-up choices of "view", go to, send message, Alert, etc.

We can't friend others now?
Or is it just my system??

Hey, you're right!

I miss the old days where you could not only "friend", but also " rival" a member.

I - I had alot of rivals.

Yeah? I had a lot of friends! And only 1 or 2 people who 'rivaled me.' One guy rivaled me 20 times in a row, though.....
within one minute....

But I think maybe I only rivaled one.......I don't miss that option.

As far as the rivals go, I once was rivaled and actually got stung by it.
It was a very disturbing feeling.
I am glad they got rid of it.

I still have all of my friends on my list though so maybe it is just a temporary thing while they work out the bugs in the new system.

It seems that you can still go to their wall-page and "friend" them there. There's an "add as friend" icon, anyway.

Yes, that's what I figured as well....
the new system "logged me out", too - and I had to log in (first time in months) - but that's no biggie.

I've had that problem too, before. Try clicking on preview a second time.

HEY GUYS AND GALS!!!

I just discovered another thing about 'friending' someone.

If you go to their profile and there is NOT a little heart icon at the top right of the messages section - it means they're ALREADY your friend!

But - if you go to the profile of someone who isn't already your 'friend', the little heart icon "add as friend" DOES show up.
Just thought I'd share that. I've been learning about 'code' for the last several months.


AND IT WAS THIS VERY THREAD that proves it all the more!!! It was KnightLight, who befriended me (reciprocally) because of this thing (see above). And his was the wall I went to ----- saw my Username, but no "add as friend" - then went back to my own friends list, and saw he was already on there!!!!

It's cool! Want to friend someone? Go to their wall. See an option to friend them? Go for it! Don't see the option? They're ALREADY your friend!
