My dad recently had a stroke. He is completely paralyzed on one side. I am reaching out to you if anyone knows any windows based software that displays a list of words and he can select one and then form sentences that way. I was looking into SmallTalk by Linguistics but they have discontinued the product for anything but iPhones. Any AAC software that you know of, even if it's not free, I'll look into. I'm scouring the web but not finding anything except a picture book. He can read words so that's what I'm looking for.

I don't know if you are looking for something along these lines:

The Stroke Foundation

Seems like maybe what you are talking about.
We use something similar at my work and folks seem to enjoy it!
