Is Marriage a Right?

1. The pursuit of happiness could very well include marriage.

2. The 14th Amendment says that states' laws must apply to all citizens equally. Marriage is a state law.

Personally, I think this is right on the money. Especially point 2, which is really where the legal argument of it applies. If two "citizens" want to marry, then assuming the state law applies equally, this is regardless of the sex of the citizens.

Personally also, seeing two guys make out makes me physically ill...but my own aversion is certainly not going to trump their rights to be with who they want to be with (just try and keep the PDA a bit on the downlow...hmm?...and we straight folks will do likewise).
