Police in Markham, just northeast of Toronto, say they've made the largest ever Canadian ecstasy bust, seizing drugs with a potential street value of
half a billion dollars.
An investigation culminated "with the arrest of seven men from British Columbia, and the seizure of a quantity of cash, hashish and over 1,000
kilograms of liquid and powder MDMA or ecstasy," York Regional Police Chief Armand La Barge told reporters.
The chief added that the value of the drugs is conservatively estimated to be "in excess of $100 million and could conceivably yield a profit in
excess of a half a billion dollars."

If I had to total the amount of crime and corruption that takes place in north america alone, it would probably total in excess of 100 million. There
is so much crime taking place in this world both unreported and reported that no one can keep up with it. It is a pitiful shame that the (Drug
Industry) even though not a legitimate one is here to stay. It won't go away no matter how many drug busts there are. Because if you solve one crime,
there will probably be ten to twenty that will go unsolved.
