In the past two minutes I just learned something about censorship and revisionism.

I'm sure there'll be a chance for the airing of grievances and everyone will come out better at the other end.

But the whole "debate's off" topic got pulled!

I really wanted my Superman-Mr Mxyzptlk comment to be preserved for posterity, but it's an inter-dimensional joke that maybe no one would have got anyway.

It is a valuable lesson.

The art of revisionism lies in ensuring that an event or a statement never enters the collective consciousness.

The more rapid-fire the revision, the more likely the masses are to believe that it never happened.

To the extent that censorship plays a role in this process, ATS is a fine example of the need to preserve social order at the expense of revealing unpalatable truths.

If for nothing other than this learning, ATS is very worthwhile and practical in its training techniques...

whatever...

Let's put the FM topic to bed.

He's been banned again and it's generally not fair to talk trash about someone if they're not here to defend themeselves. That's why the thread was moved to our forum trash... none other.

The experiment didn't work... too bad.

Let's get past it and back to discussing real issues.

Sorry for the hiccup in forum flow.

He will return, just as Mr Mxzyptlk does, only to be banished again when the magic words are spoken.

Again, I would like to thank William for putting this together for me. This was MY idea, and it took a lot of me being a pain in the a$$ to William for him to go along with it. (Contrary to what FM was spewing, William DID NOT put me up to it, this was 100% my idea).

Thank you again William.

William, yes, I understand that you would pull a discussion if someone who is copping flak is unable to defend himself. Thanks for clarifying.
