Orange Bioluminescence

I just stepped outside to look at the sky and take a pee.
I saw a small orange light moving around about 10 yards away.
I thought it was someone walking in the dark with a cigarette.
I asked who was there. No answer, so I pointed a flashlight in that direction. Nobody was there.
It was about the size of a firefly. I do not know of any insect that emits orange light.
I did the Google and didn't come up with anything.

Mini-drone (dronette?). You caught it with it's running lights on.

Any radiation releases in your area over the past year? Maybe a firefly got a dose of something?

Why are you peeing outside? Do you not have indoor plumbing?

Supplying the soil with nitrogen and a host of minerals? One of the best compost starters is having a pee onto a pile of leaves. Why flush away perfectly good fertilizer?

Are you in Jamaica? There's a beetle there that sometimes glows orange. Not very brightly, though.

I pee outside sometimes just to do it...you notice a lot of neat little nature things when you're looking at the same spot for a little while.

We get the occasional orange firefly (more accurately - lightning bug) in Georgia. Also electric blue.

I believe orange is a not uncommon mutation in some bioluminescent species. And quite normal in some marine biota.

I have a friend who used to be a terrible drunk. His big rambling house had only one bathroom -- upstairs. So when we went to drink with hin we'd pee in the garden, against a conveniently-placed areca-nut palm. After a few months the area round that palm smelled like the jaguar cage at the zoo.

Then he had his heart attack and the fog, or should I say fug, slowly lifted. Nature is wonderful, the way she restores the balance.

Peeing outside is a guy thing. Hard to explain but it's enjoyable.

I'm in south Texas. We do have click beetles, though.
I was not aware they glowed.
If you want to know why they call them click beetles, snatch one up and close your fingers around it.
