Earliest use of K9 I've found so far:

Old issue of London Charivari magazine

A London-based publication. Looking like a pretty sure bet it's English in origin, unless I can find something older & from another country

Argh! You've done me! That is a really early English reference, good find!


...apologies to US members, it seems the English originally bastardised the word canine into K9 all along...shameful!

Now I'll go back to waving my cane at kids on my lawn lol
