Another quake in DFW, TX... seemed a little stronger this time.

I just felt another but this one was a little stronger than the others.

I heard a rumble before it hit the house and shook my recliner pretty good. Seemed stronger than the low 3's we've been having regularly.

Maybe Downtown Fort Wayne. Maybe they have a Fort Wayne that goes to Texas from Indiana for the winter. Snowbirds you know.

Could stand for Don't Forget Where too.

It's weird, I live just west of DFW airport in Denton County, and I never feel the Irving Earthquakes. Yet, when there was an Earthquake in Arlington I felt that one. Though I have heard that sometimes small Earthquakes can skip counties and can be felt in the one over.

I'm sure it has a lot to do with which chunk of ground is moving and the material composition/ground water saturation of the particular area.

Ingy - same here, We live in Addison and never feel them! I lived in San Francisco for a few years and I felt them (in fact was hypersensitive about them lol) but not here.

And everything in Addison is built on fill-dirt - go figure. However we don't have any fracking in Addison. They aren't doing any drilling in Farmer's Branch are they?
Maybe all the rain we've had?

There's a small fault that runs through Irving that they think is causing the Earthquakes. Some people think Fracking to the west may have awaken the fault, but they are not sure. The small fault is connected to a much larger fault called the Balcones fault that runs north-south along I-35, it's been dormant for millions of years, I just hope these smaller quakes are a sign of it reawakening.

We had a 4.0 one a couple weeks ago. That was the strongest one on record in the DFW area. Since this one was a 3.3 let's hope it stays that way.

I live pretty much in the center of the City of Denton and have yet to feel one. I've heard reports of people feeling them here but yet to talk to one person that has.

I was always hoping, no quakes, far enough from the Ocean, North Texas might be a good spot to hunker down in a "Big One", even far enough from Yellowstone that we might have a chance as slim as it may be...

Lately, Not so much.

So many there recently, I wonder if it's building up to something larger. Any gut feeling on that?

I don't like reading about quakes close to people I know!

Guatemala had a quake as well. Maybe related?
