We are clearly in agreement that this is bull#.

Solution: Any new source that propagates this, boycott.

Any other solutions?

What? Boycott? That means sending your child to a private school, and you know what our president thinks of that ... It will make you a suspicious anti-government sort.

I just pasted the title of this thread and got 243,000 links. I had a great link picked from a well known Libertarian, but then I realized what your are doing.....

You are attacking the messenger and not addressing the message, I am not going to play that game

I don't want my values being forced onto children, and I don't want yours instilled onto them either.....that responsibility should be reserved for Parents and schools should stick to the 3 R's

It appears that the messenger went to Fox news and embellished...as in MADE UP certain facts that don't exist. Fox news did not fact check. Not a surprise. Title IX requires the non discrimination. That is federal law, if you don't like it, you may have to homeschool or leave the country.

If you think most media sources fact check these days, you're smoking something.

Fairfax is also the school district that passed a restroom/lockerroom policy over massive parent objection citing threats of loss of funding from the US Dept. of Ed. if they did not change the policy as their reason for making the change despite parental disapproval.

I guess I'm ok with them teaching sexuality in school but this whole gender fluidity thing is very confusing to me.

From my perspective you either have a penis or vagina thus are either man or woman. Of course it is up to you what you do with those parts and how you dress, but physically you are one or the other. I always thought gender was always about what you are physically and sexuality was about what you are psychologically.

Is this an April fools joke?

Why is all this transgender stuff being promoted ?
Whats the real agenda?

Those of us knowing who we are,are abnormal now. It's not fair. All because those not knowing who they were whined about it to make it fair for them. So we're the assholes here. Not right.

What's next, being arrested for having female genitalia and wearing a dress? But officer I was "born this way", I am in fact a girl but I don't have birth certificate to prove it because putting the gender on them was outlawed 10 years ago in 2020.

You bring up an interesting point in your post. Right now it is MALE/FEMALE or M/F on Birth Certificates and Drivers Licence. I wonder when this will no longer be the case and what will they base that on, what is between the legs or the ears and how many variations will there be???

a reply to: spirit_horse OP: I am starting to wish that people did a little more digging before posting something that was fairly easy to figure out that the original article's source made things up. I would think that article sounded a little over the top. I would have looked up the source. I would see it notes some dubious organizations. I would have looked at what the school district has actually done. Wait....I did. Had to after reading this post.

Sadly, it doesn't sound over the top to them because it's drilled into them that this how the left, liberals, progressives, socialists, communists, anarchists...are.

Why casue people want to be free to act how they feel and not be persecuted for it?
How does that make society sick?

It's funny how all the small gov people want to gov to regulate who you can marry and what you feel is your gender identity. Small gov at it's best right there.

No. This whole 100% male or female thing isn't being understood correctly. Nobody is saying that you aren't one or the other; there's simply more to it than that.

Think about it in terms of handedness (another recent thread gave me the idea). Let's say you write with your right hand and that's what hand you say you are. But you probably do a number of things with the other while the person next to you might mix it up more or less than you do. But you are both right-handed. Understanding that you aren't 100% right-handed doesn't mean you aren't right-handed.

Hormones and your brain make up your gender in far more significant ways than genitalia (but let's call it equal to be fair). Some men have more testosterone than others and more estrogen than others. We all have male and female hormones coursing through us just like we all use both of our hands for something. It won't make you a different gender against your will.

Handedness is a matter of one hand, normally, being dominant. That isn't related to one's sex, at all, however. People tend to come with two hands, and that means we are going to be able to use both of them. One tends to be better suited to certain tasks, because of how we are wired, but that doesn't mean the other is just a spare.

Hormones don't change one's genetics, either. We all have both types of hormones, but not at the same levels. Certain ones are stronger in men, as a rule, an others in women, and they work during development in different ways, based on our genetic identity. Some very rare abnormalities aside, people are genetically male or female.

The idea that certain things are reserved for one sex or the other has been very misused. First, it as considered wrong to give toys to small children that are normally preferred by boys or girls. The trend was to allow the kids to choose, and most kids will go for the "stereotyped" toys every single time. Not all, but most. Now, certain activities are considered "male" or "female", which is simply foolish. For example, someone mentioned romantic comedies as being something only women would like, as though a man that does must be a little female. That's ridiculous! Men can be very romantic, and some enjoy watching such movies with their wives and girlfriends. They are not less male because of this. Men that cook, men that have some sense of how to dress nicely, men that like to dance; none of these are female-only activities. Likewise, athletic women, girls that like playing with building blocks, women that like working on cars; these are not somehow "partly male" because of their activities and likes. First, we were told not to stereotype toys, and now we are told that activities are stereotyped. The entire idea, in both cases, is completely illogical.

Claiming that this sort of thing, or a hormonal imbalance, can change one's natural sex, makes no sense. Environmental factors, which do play a very big role in "gender identity" confusion, don't change what the person actually is, either. If we claim they do, then we can no longer claim a person who believes they are Napoleon is wrong, and needs treatment.

We are, at the deepest levels, either male or female.

That said, mistreating someone who has an issue isn't right, of course. On the same note, stating that they have a problem that needs treatment isn't mistreating them, any more than it mistreats a bipolar person, or a schizophrenic, or whatever. My sister has a neighbor with some serious head issues - paranoia, for certain, and others, and needs meds to control them. This woman has a lot of issues, and causes problems for neighbors, but my sister can still talk to hr and try to be understanding and kind. She would not be kid if she pretended there were no problems, though. In this case, that would be a serious error, because this woman had a gun, and was threatening to shoot people, because she believed they were breaking in to her home.

It was an anti bullying policy to make those that identified as transgender a protected class. That also seems to be the catalyst for this addition to the teaching.

Some of that degradation can be applied to the massive misinformation that is being spread around by dubious so called news sources that poison the minds of the public.

Just look at what this one small article by the Family Research Council and being pushed by Fox has done to cause fighting and division here alone. Do you think that is by mistake??? Or do you think it's all part of the agenda to marginalize everything having to do with LBGT people and Equal Rights and the possible Supreme Court Ruling on Gay Marriage???

If and when it comes out that this Fairfax school sex ed thing is really no big change at all and all this chaos was just overblown nonsense, do you think the FRC will admit they were wrong and retract any of it or let their members or listeners know they made a mistake??? No way, they'll most likely just double down with more BS.

No, it was claimed. Claims are not proof. The schools are, in fact, teaching what is claimed, and they are not allowing parents to opt out.

I clearly posted where the school responded to him that they did not have the lesson plans made yet. How can he know what they are going to teach when the school told them they don't know yet?

Please enlighten me on that.

Or provide your source that shows for a fact what they are teaching.
