Why am i a member not a Member?

Curious as to what I am as well. Maybe it's something to do with registration date?

dude i am used to abuse--people always think im annoying.

honestly i think i'd really do well in the position and find it enjoyable. I don't take things personally. I kinda rather enjoy it when people get so mad at me that they start raving xD maybe that makes me a masochist but I like to think of it as if they're THAT mad then I must be doing something right, right?

Intrepid said that no one knows why it's a 'M' or a 'm', so I don't see any way to change it. If you want, you can change it from 'member' to 'writer' by entering one of the writing contests and winning. We had 'fighter' and 'scholar' as well, but I'm not sure if those are still being done.

that is an interesting idea--you know mayhaps. that would make at least some sense but i think before they said they figured out it was random or something. but maybe it's random but based on date or something.

since it HAS to be as a result of the coding and program. So maybe its a bit of code relating to date that occasionally gets jumbled or something.

nah, I do want it. For real.

I don't make a habit of sharing my writing in full anywhere--I aspire to get published. I keep my work to myself. Fanfiction, fine--but when it's my work and it's writing I tend to guard my treasured masterpieces. haha

I don't want to have fun. I want to do something useful and productive.

What better way than helping manage a website that I love in the hopes of preserving its integrity and hopefully even helping to make it better? That's the real reward I'm after, in all honesty.

I can have fun staring into space imagining. I have enough fun--I could use some more seriousness and discipline in my life.

Won't you guys let me try at least? Like a junior moderator that's on probation kinda thing. So if you dont like me you can just *snip* and that'd be cool--I just want to see if I'd be good at it or not. I think I'd be good--but I don't know that for sure unless I try. Doesn't matter how hard it is. I love challenging work because it is challenging work.

First rule of becoming an ATS mod is never asking .

We only promote when we see a need for it and we don't take applications.

All I can suggest is that you continue to abide by the T&C and contribute to the community.

It's that kind of statment that makes me glad that I sometimes have one too many beers or get to emotiaonally involved in a post.

Yeah, that's the best I could come up with. ATS has had quite a few iterations in my time. Maybe how SO and others did the code for each one is how it wound up with some of us being big or little M.
