US Govt Develops a Matrix-Like World Simulating the Virtual You
cointelegraph.com...

It is not surprising that data in the Information Age can be extremely valuable, even a source of power. Now picture a parallel virtual world that collects information on our virtual identities in real time, tracks our behavior, and is smart enough to interpret this data to simulate a virtual YOU on its own. This is exactly the concept of Sentient World Simulation (SWS) that was proposed in a paper by a few researchers in 2006, which has since largely flown under the radar.

Sentient World Simulation

SWS is one of the ongoing projects by secret agencies and organizations such as the NSA. In fact, these organizations have a long history of always seeking new technologies to process a continuous stream of information about the population. However, SWS differs from other information aggregators such as Google in that this technology actually simulates us, while taking our personalities into account, in a parallel virtual world.

"This not only invades our privacy but can also causes severe damage to society. Knowing that there is a copy of each of us in the virtual world, that can think and behave like us, and whose actions can be predicted by the authorities is a far more intimidating invasion. This will have a negative impact on societies by reducing trust between citizens and government, as well as among people — altering normal human behavior, since the populace will be conscious of the fact that there is a copy of them in a virtual world without their consent."

The centralized control of personal and social information
by a single entity gives it immense and unprecedented power.

This is exactly the concept of Sentient World Simulation (SWS) that was proposed in a paper www.krannert.purdue.edu... by a few researchers in 2006, which has since largely flown under the radar.

I want to meet my virtual me, and have arguments for hours. I think that would be fun.

So, virtual me -- where are you?

I can tell you I am noticed when I get onto a computer.. I havn't been careful enough to know for sure I hadn't logged into something that links back to me, or whatever.. I've been able to notice this, as every computer I come in contact with seems to get hacked. I used to be VERY computer savvy as I used to be a licensed computer repair tech..

They know me..

It's coming out.
Someone is scared of us.
Must be scared for a reason.

Of course they would build a model.. Algorithms.. Data... It's all you need.. Been studying humans and psychology for a long time now.. Build a good enough model, and then let all the new data they have on us go into the model...

They know exactly how I might act. Assuming I am who I am, they know who I am.

Luckily they don't have enough time and data to track everyone in real time, only who they look at.. I'm sure the program alerts dangerous persons.. Based on patterns..

I'll gladly take up as much attention and time as I can. In the meantime, I will need others to keep learning who we are and what we are doing here on earth.

I'm not backing down.
I'm on the winning team.
Team Humanity.

have you seen this??

Don't hug me I'm scared VIDEO

I think it's on topic..

I wondered about when getting an out of body experience you see sometimes someone/something, I always wondered if you see yourself.
Mostly it scared me and even tried choking it with my hands. No arguments yet though..
Strange thing I also had 1 time a sleep paralyze but then i felt 2 hands trying to choke me! Was that me trying to shoke myself?

Anyways maybe that's the virtual you.. well maybe not but...

I love it when "conspiracies" become vindicated! Old-school conspiracy theorists, Jordan Maxwell, has been explaining this to us for many years. He gave several interviews and lectures explaining super and quantum computers.

Decades ago, he told us that various groups practice massive intel gathering, collecting everything from education, purchases, work history, health, life events, etc. The data is then used to "bring to life" and give "personality" to a simulation of every citizen possible. They are placed within a virtual world that is programmed as accurately as possible. These clandestine groups then run test simulations of wars, famine, social unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, etc., while observing the individual and collective reactions, death tolls, and outcomes of the "simulated people". Maxwell said these models are used to more effectively steer global agendas.

Regardless of the old conspiracies, this is some interesting news.

Don't think a computer can predict what a actual living human being with do. When all logic and reasoning points one way , humans can and often do the opposite. I make decisions now that are totally bad for me and don't care. When given a Left or right options I sometimes go up, backwards or take no option at all.

It's a form of pre crime determination that can help them pick out who they want to use for -insert real life- scenario.

Some where along the line they are to be in competition, if not solely with, with Russia 2045.

But the algorithm knows you don't follow logic.. And it knows where you break down even.. Your unpredictability is predictable.

I worry about the ones who's lives appear to be in a pattern to overthrow the game they are running..

If the Minority Report went away and spent a couple of years eating Wheaties, saying prayers, and taking vitamins....this is what it would come back as.

Very distressing news.

The premise of the show "Caprica" on SyFy was that as we go about our lives, we leave digital "footprints" behind us. Medical records, social media posts, biometric data, psych evals, ect ... eventually enough of that information can be obtained to create an AI that mimics what you would do or say with a high probability. It's a digital shadow of the real you.

I could see this being a potentially powerful tool to predict how a SPECIFIC person might act in a SPECIFIC situation.

The problem is, how do they know who will be in what situation? Right now they're slurping up so much data they can't do much of anything with it. They have to get a lead on someone fist before the information becomes useful.

A algorithm can't calculate emotions. Can't know I'm in a half bad mood because I didn't sleep for 8 hours which causes me to light mycar on fire. Not that I've ever done that but I could.
It can't calculate me falling in love and running from everything important to me to be with a girl.
It can't calculate me being in the best mood ever and having the best day of my life and then quit my job just because

I think you are a bit paranoid my friend. As far as every computer you get in contact with getting hacked, well that is just due to the crazy porn you watch.

All you have to do is give hints of being suicidal on social media, and hopefully your virtual self will kill itself, and you will no longer be in their system lol.

We should watch this carefully. Its only a small stepbfrom this to minority report type stuff using algorhythm prediction. Next thing you know folks will start getting arrested for,pre-crime.

I was sitting on my couch the other day when I saw a person in a long white shirt step out of the other room into the hall and look straight at me. It was out of the corner of my eye. The head turn to look was very deliberate. When I turned to look it was gone.

Ann hour later I was looking for something. I had taken a shower and changed and grabbed and old oversized t shirt to throw on while I got myself together. As I stepped through that doorway and turned my head looking towards the couch, I realized I looked exactly like what I saw out of the corner of my eye and totally forgot what I was looking for.

So yeah, I certainly think it is possible.

NASA says virtual world exists

Makes you wonder if we a seeing the start of our own demise.

I've actually thought about doing something like this myself. The goal was to recreate the way society works, and more specifically, how money flows through society. Of course it's almost impossible to simulate a human mind, especially when you need to simulate thousands or millions of them at the same time. The idea is to replicate basic human behavior and group behavior, just enough so that the simulation does something interesting. For example you could simulate how the implementation of a new tax or policy would affect the economy. That can help to build intelligent budgets which are affective in the real world. Quite frankly I'm surprised the government didn't try something like this a long time ago.

They used to run these kinds of simulations with "virtual" countries. Each country had a set of attributes like technology level, population size, education level, GDP, economic power, food production, resources, military strength, democracy/dictatorship, trade level with neighbors. Countries with high trade levels, would have a high GDP would have a high education level and would be more democratic. A small country with low education levels and high military strength would be a dictatorship. A change to one attribute would change all the others in one war or the other. A country that ran low of resources might resort to invasion of its neighbors. Countries that felt threatened would form alliances. Then that sets off all sorts of disputes. Eventually, you either end up with either a one world government or a world war.
