Aside from that however we do still have filters set up on a subconscious level.

For instance, two people are given "absolute proof" of extraterrestrial life. one may believe in the existence of ET and another may not, and on a subconscious level it determines how they will respond.

Fear of the unknown doesn't give you carte blanche to insert your own narrative of how things go down though.

Hi. Although you will see the usual replies claiming no scientific evidence supports an impending doom event I also get feeling that something big is brewing.
My feelings are in my opinion worth more to me than a lot of speculative theories apparently seen as fact. Looking at the activity of mother earth I feel that things are coming to a head....throw in the economic collapses and it points to those in power being aware of impending problems. I see the problems with the economy as an indication of those in power spending in a way to prepare for something...which must be big given the amount of money spent on defence which doesn't show up as a problem.

Looking at the jade helm event I immediately felt the maps of the involved states would be used in a situation where yellowstone would erupt. There would be a massive rush south which would need to be controlled to prevent mayhem. Add in the Walmarts closure fiasco across this "line" of states also may add a bit of spice possibly storing relief.

Looking through the defence contracts I've found a lot of breathing equipment purchased which may be the norm but the conspiracy nut that I am wants to use it for the scenario of ash causing destruction across the northern hemisphere.

A lot of speculative ideas? Maybe....but I will be prepared in case...as I won't take the chance not being able to care for those I love.

Now on topic

You are of course correct especially in the wake of the latest Nepalese earthquake. Maybe we are beginning to extract mother nature's wrath after years of raping her. But the fact is we have super volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes etc. etc. etc. if we subjected to them there isn't a great deal we can do, either on an individual or international level.

So why worry about it ?

Call me flippant, but if I get hit by an asteroid tomorrow, I won't really have time to care about it. Unless I have finished Greathouse's booze

Thanks for the welcome. I understand what you say about the situations where we actually are helpless against the power of nature. But I think since I became a father 7 years ago I have only worried about my mortality. Not because I'm worried about my harm or death but more about my ability to protect my children . Therefore I feel that it's my responsibility to keep on top of things in the small chance of distaster. Furthermore if the situation doesn't arise I hope I have instilled some skills that may help my children and others to live better lives. Things such as growing some of my own food, jarring my food and wasting very little, caring about the damage we are leaving in the earth with the staggering waste. Also the enjoyment I have in camping and spending time with those I love away from technology.

Hopefully all of this has just been a bit of a paranoid hobby and education on aspects of life I may not have came across if I hadn't become a dad. But in case I need to use the skills I have acquired I will be happy I can care for my loved ones and hopefully as many people as I can.

There's been a decent amount of cognitive dissonance from certain quarters lately.

I think something big is coming, but I don't know for sure what. I don't think it'll be good though. There's just a feeling of tension. I think if we could actually trust our government a lot of this feeling would dissipate. Too bad that isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

There's nothing wrong with a healthy dose of paranoia, and being ready and able to protect your loved ones is essential when they are at such a tender age. As much as is humanly possible.

I was serious about the avatar we make them for free from your request, we love making them, and anything (T&C friendly) is possible.

The waste I see at work (I'm a cabinet maker) drives me crazy, we can't even give it away to local schools unless we can provide paperwork to prove it is sustainable etc.

It would actually cost us money to give kids free wood, to learn life skills !!!!!

You sir are doing it just right IMHO, fun camping with the kids and teaching them to survive.

Now all you need is to learn to pick locks on handcuffs (to stay on topic) and that's a skill worth having.

The thing is that if they were going to do something, they surely wouldn't come out and tell the public. They would have to say it is a military exercise to cover for the movement of troops and equipment. And if they didn't trust the troops to keep it quiet, they would do the same.

I suspect it is an exercise, but don't trust feelings or my government telling me it is raining while pissing on me! The fact that this administration has made statements about having a domestic security force on par with the military, has known socialist/communist associations, and would have to do something just as far out of normal American thinking to really push through an agenda so radical if it really does exist.

I also think our government isn't completely stupid. We have severe natural disaster threats like super-volcanoes, earthquakes, etc. and they would be remiss and attacked for doing nothing if they didn't prepare for that eventuality, no matter how far or short in the future it may happen. Triggering one would be an epic false flag though. And there are major disasters going on around the wold in the last10-15 years which would grab planners attention like FEMA whose job is to handle natural or man made disasters like nuclear war or whatever major natural disaster. That is part of COG and survival as a nation after the fact.

Being on a CT board, one always has to be vigilant and just in case. If you caught an operation in preparation it could make a huge difference on how you handle yourself and family and whether you fare well or poorly. Be prepared and remain vigilant.

All that being said, it would be epic difficult to lock down our country. Iraq was the size of one state and they had a hell of a time with full out war. Do you think enemies of the US government wouldn't come to fight and smuggle weapons in for the resistance? Probably knowing the different ideologies. Get the government out of power and it would be easier to overthrow the country they want. Chinese military has made statements in the past about in the future they would have to annex the US and/or Australia to survive as a nation. So, our government definitely knows the threats and must prepare for any eventuality no matter how crazy we might think it is. Only time will tell.

First let me say there is an issue that has come up with these trains. A person who works for the company that built them got on that blog and said that there are no shackles and people are acting dumb. So,unless someone else is putting in the shackles after they are finished,there is a problem with that story.

The second thing I would like to say about this,my brother is totally freaked out. Let me explain. It seems yesterday he was leaving the neighborhood to run errands and there are train tracks that run right along side this road we take out of here. The train came through and had about 75 cars on it that were all white and gun metal gray. No markings on them that he could see. He has tried to describe these cars and is having trouble with it. Whatever kind of cars they are,they upset him badly.

You see my father was a railroad man and taught us kids all the names of the different cars that trains use,plus what that use is(in other words,coal cars are for carrying coal,etc.).These he was at a loss to name,he said he got the impression that they were for either carrying A LOT of people,or something for the army to use to fire from.

I have never heard of a train car that would be pulled into battle and fired from. I showed him pictures of different new train cars,and he said the one that came closest was the white FEMA cars. He said that on the bottom part of the car,there was a large shutter type opening that may have been for loading equipment on it.On the top there were small shutters that had iron bars across them? Does anyone know of anything like this? What really stood out to him was how LARGE these cars were. He said that he didn't even know how they were getting under the bridge in our area,that it had to be a very close fit. He was saying that it was like stacking 3 trucks on top of each other.

I have no idea what he saw at this point,but I know it has him upset. He now runs to the window every time he hears the train coming. The first set he saw was heading to the St.Louis area,the second one was heading the opposite way(Fort Leonerd Wood)? Make of it what you will. I asked why he didn't get a picture of it,and he said it was so huge and strange looking that all I could do was stare at it,I didn't even think of my phone right then.

I am a train & model train hobbyist.. I was wondering if your brother may have seen some of the AutoRacks (Auto Carriers) en.wikipedia.org... This link has some dated photos but if you click through you can get a sense of the car and it's intended purpose. Not saying modified ones exist or not right now.
