Hi Zedy63, congrats on your first post with a youtube link. You can embed the youtube video directly into your post by clicking the youtube button on the far right of your post window and inserting the video number into that. The number for this video is VF5tGkAfIbg give it a shot its easy. You can click edit on your own post for a couple of hours and make changes as well.

Its also great if you can give a bit of a run down of the video for the benefit of those that can't get to watch it as well.

Hi That's great, It makes your post look much better

On the youtube page look in the address bar and you will see the number there, I think you can find it on the youtube page as well but it easier I think to get it from the address

so in this case it's you can see it hanging of the end of the Url
sometimes it appears wrapped in some other code but it's usually easy enough to spot it and then copy paste as you just did.

Waste of time in my opinion. The first half is a guy, who must be right because he quotes super smart people, preaching that CERN will destroy the universe. I'd rather spend my time listening to what these super smart people have to say whole-heartedly on the subject, instead of just cherry-picked quotes put together to push an agenda.

The second half is an even bigger waste of time. It's like a mash of movie trailers or something. I honestly skimmed through it because there didn't seem to be any actual substance. Then there's more preaching.

If you like being preached to with very little basis for the arguments, this video is for you.

Here it is right here - how the science meets the theology so to speak. If anyone is familiar with my posting, you know I have maintained that God is not in this universe but in His own, and I do reference the ideas of quantum physics and multiple dimensions. The problem, or danger, is that if God has His own dimension, then so would the Pit and other dark places.

Does anyone remember Event Horizon?

The crew is informed by Dr. Weir that the Event Horizon had actually been built by the government to test a secret, experimental faster-than-light gravity drive. The drive would create an artificial black hole to bridge two points in space to significantly reduce journey time. The ship had been on its initial test flight, intended to reach Proxima Centauri; it subsequently vanished without a trace. Weir plays to the crew the only signal received since the ship's reappearance, spoken by ship's captain, Cpt. Kilpack, which is a series of garbled, confusing and intensely disturbing screams and shouts, embedded in which is the Latin phrase "liberate me" ("save me").

Here we are with a mysterious Ghost Ship that disappeared testing a gravity drive designed to use black holes to bridge interstellar distances. And that's sort of what they're hoping to do with CERN - possibly pick up mini black holes and start penetrating the mysteries of gravity and other dimensions.

It appears that the Event Horizon has returned with a supernatural presence which is using its occupants' personal torments against them. Medic D.J. (Jason Isaacs) hears his story, and says he listened to the original recording again; he now believes he was mistaken the first time: it actually says "liberate tutame ex inferis" ("save yourself from Hell"). D.J. actually believes that although the ship's drive successfully opened a gateway in space-time, it actually led outside the known universe and into another dimension, which must be close to the human concept of 'hell'.

The video log is reconstructed; it shows the original crew engaging in a frenzy of torture, self-mutilation, cannibalism and sodomy, minutes after activating the gravity drive. The ship's captain is seen uttering the Latin message with his own eyes torn out.

And in fact, the drive must have taken the crew somewhere evil or at somewhere that drove them mad.

Why bring this up? Well there are plenty of people here who think Hollywood is used to forecast the agenda of TPTB, but this movie in 1997 had the idea of other dimensions and "hell" and black holes and gravity drives linked together in its script a year before CERN went into construction.

Now I am not against pushing our horizons when it comes to science and particle physics. However, do we understand what we are doing there or are we just pushing boundaries because we can? Is CERN another Alamogordo only on a potentially catastrophic level?

Interesting how you mention Event Horizon.....I wrote a thread on that here on ATS some time ago.
But like others, people struggle to follow them.
I don't plan a thread I write or type what I see as I see it.
There are a few threads here on ATS that are connected in my opinion on a huge scale and I have tried to bridge the gap many times in the hope that others make the same connections rather than me deliver them.

This thread regarding CERN is a major part to as it also is connected to a few threads but no one sees it or understands it.....or just choose not to.

I dont want to give a list of links to my own specific threads because people will obviously call on my post to be deleted.

The answer really is staring us all in the face.

Do I waste my time making a reply making what I see as the connections that I believe need to be investigated?
Will I be allowed to provide the numerous links and exteral text in the hope that this time, finally, people will read it in full?
Fathomed the unfathomable?
I believe what I have discovered is simply a solution.
Secrets of the universe? Nah.......but when people understand what I see in the way that I have tried to relay it to you all you will understand.

alright, 10 min in. Can someone tell me if this entire thing is a church sermon? I'm not going to waste my time on dogmatic preaching. Right off the start he refers to Hawking as saying "the God particle" and tries to connect some religious dots that Hawking, who's an athiest, believes in the god particle when we all know god particle is short for "god damn particle"

So tell me op, is this bible thumping or is there going to be some science in this 1-hour clip?

Humanity will always push towards new boundary's simply because its in our nature to do so.

As to whether or not the scientists in question know what they are doing? Well most of the experiments being performed at CERN are based on theoretical physics, there is some element of danger involved as with an experimentation.

Below are some maps off particle accelerators worldwide. I don't know how accurate they are as I just found them online after doing a quick search for a map.

They appear to be lined up. I wonder what kind of atmospheric energy drain happens if these things are all fired up and colliding particles at the same time. If they all collide a particle simultaneously can some other type of energy field present itself ?

Just thoughts that come to mind. I will watch the video this weekend hopefully when i have some spare time. Thanks for sharing.
