My wife was nice enough (on mother's day no less) to allow me to drag the family for a photo op. at the Boeing Museum of Flight. They had an F-15 from Portland and a couple F-22's from the 525th fighter squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska with crew as special guests.

Me and one of the F-22 pilots, just look how happy we are on this fine day.

I think they call it JBER (joint base Elmendorf-Richardson) now.

So that's where they are...I haven't heard them buzzing around here lately.

EDIT: Not to brag, but we're also more than likely going to get two F-35 squadrons up at Eielson, AK

There were only a pair of them that came down. One was on display and the other was off by itself. They said they are headed back home Tuesday.

Great pics.

I worked that -137 a few times. They came through one trip and had a flat nose strut. I was in the cockpit when they taxied to the maintenance spot we were going to change it at. Dear god that's an awful ride when that strut goes bad.

Nice! My Dad is a retired Air Force pilot, and I now live in Goodyear, AZ, near Luke AFB. When I hear jets fly over our house, I go into my happy place. :-)

The B-29 that is shrink wrapped is air frame number 44-69729.

It is being stored till a building is built to publicly display it along with a B-17.

Its a KB-29 from China Lake fleet known as T-Square 54

Cool, there was another P-8 just down the line from the Indian one too. Didn't get a chance to see who that one belongs to though.

Yeah, I was surprised the first time I went on one. They look big on the outside but are super cramped on the inside.

As a side note, the gentlman seen taking the photo of the pilots/crew lined up in front of the F-22 is John Dibbs.

He was also on hand at the event as a guest speaker. You can check out some of his aviation photography HERE.
