Actually, I have never in my life been registered to vote. Even if I was, I'd have been registered in south Cornwall and I am now 250 miles away.

So why come out with those bull# reasons why you didn't vote earlier then?
Just speak the truth from the start I say.

My reasons are exactly what I said; moving up and down the country and being disillusioned with the system itself and what it has directly subjected me to. I have never been registered to vote so I have no idea how it even works, and quite frankly I don't care to because it's a sham of a process. I'm complaining because it is blatantly obvious that something is very off with this election and a lot of people are saying that. Many, many people are utterly fed-up with the Tories and the general manner in which this country has been run for so long.

Change is coming.

Whatever man, you are clearly making it up as you go along.
Ignore me and I shall ignore you. If you can't be openly and clearly honest in the first instance of debate about your choice or ability to vote in the UK then I have no interest in your political contributions here.
I wish you well.

I've never seen an election result that polarised people so much and brought out so much nastiness and we're only a couple of days in. All this talk of 'you lost' is bizarre to me. None of us have any real stake in the winning team no matter who we vote for because policy is built around donors and lobbyists with election promises just being campaign rhetoric for the most part.

I'm sure if labour had won it would be just as bad with people calling out the evil right wingers for being salty but really, we were going to be screwed whoever got in. There probably wouldn't be riots but the vitriol would certainly be there.

The cuts are going to affect us all and will be apparent no matter what walk of life you're from. Hopefully instead of becoming insular and spiteful we start showing more empathy towards eachother and build a country worth living in.

if we had true demcacy the tories wouldn't be in power at Westminster, it would be a labour / snp coalition.

Really? By what measure? Even if you just do a straight vote count, Labour + SNP still pulled in 533158 LESS votes that the Conservatives got on their own.

Half a million more people voted Tory than voted Labour/SNP combined.

What kind of "true democracy" is needed to get past that inconvenient little fact?

Ah, well, I suppose if you threw the LibDem votes in to the Labour pot, that would put a Labour/SNP/LibDem coalition ahead. But if you did that, I don't doubt the Conservatives would strike a deal with UKIP.

Interesting fact:
Labour+SNP+LibDem = 13,217,650 votes
Conservative+UKIP = 15,216,049 votes

Still nearly 2 million votes ahead.

So, again, what is the magic "true democracy" that gets around this?

The SNP lying to the Scottish people is evil wouldn't you say, playing pied piper to their doom might be considered evil or are they all too blinkered to realise when they've been lied to. For example, if Scotland got independence it would be kicked out the EU and would need to reapply, it would take years, the answer might be no as the other members wouldn't agree and even if they did it would be on reduced terms, they also legally are denied using the pound, as for the oil they think they own, they don't.

As for your offensive comments, those are against T&C and are proving the ''low brow thug'' responses I mentioned earlier. If you cannot debate without talk of burning England, violence, verbal attacks, name calling and swearing then perhaps a political forum that expects civility isn't for you. It is people like you representing Scotland that gives it it's uncouth reputation and fuels further Conservative voting in England. The majority in the UK do not want Nationalist ranting thugs in Westminster or elsewhere.

So, you are disillusioned with "the system" and blame it for what it has done to you. You don't vote because you thinks it's a sham, yet you don't know how it works. You are fed up with the Tories, but have done nothing about it - la, la, la.

Your reasons exemplify what's wrong. Too many people complaining, but not actually prepared to do anything about it.

I have to disagree.

The Labour Party has been sailing happily to the right for years, and no properly motivated and self respecting left leaning person worth a damn, would vote for that set of spoiled, entitled, mewling pathetic half lives, even if their lives depended on it. They are Tory 2.0 and worthy of just as many feet up their collective arses as the Conservatives.

I am not the sort of fellow who wants to break or damage public property and war memorials over anything, and even I would not vote for them. Imagine then how unlikely it is that these so called activists would have used their vote so!

I saw this covered elsewhere. Lots of Socialist Worker banners. 'nuff said!

Socialist Worker comrades represent no one but themselves.

I hate people who cannot protest peacefully, because nothing is gained except destruction and grief. Ghandi showed us this.

On the other hand the old colonies on the east coast of the US showed us that other methods can be used to achieve the same results!
