A protest has erupted in Central London against the re-election of Britain's Conservative prime minister David Cameron

abc news

This protest is not the revolution we are hoping for. I wave my white rabbit plushie at the political establishment like they did at Woodstock in 1969.

Anti-Tory graffiti was also daubed on a war memorial honouring the women of WWII in what the Royal British Legion called a "senseless act".

Senseless act?

It's the act of scumbag c#s.

Pathetic wankers.

The next five years will be full of civil unrest on par with yhe 80's, once the real cuts kick in.

On the bright side Michael Gove Tory MP has just been given a £36k payrise. We are all in this together after all.

What is the difference betwen a tyrant and a protestor?
A tyrant is a man who resorts to violence when he doesn't get what he wants.
Whereas a protestor is a man who resorts to violence when he doesn't get what he wants.
Simple, really.

So happy to see that at least one area of the world cares about the outcome of their elections.

And how many people who would be directly negatively affected by Conservative policies either (a) voted Conservative (b) didn't vote at all ?

If you didn't vote, or voted Conservative, you have no moral right to riot over Conservative cuts.

Same in USA - many people who vote Republican then express surprise when Republicans cut their Government benefits, cut food stamps, and ostracize them just for their economic position.

Oh, the inevitable comments of those who lose elections. "we only lost because the vote was rigged".

No, you LOST because your party wasn't able to convince the most people why their policy positions were best for them.

If the other parties had of actually presented their policy positions in a manner that got voters excited enough about them that they actually were excited to go out and vote, instead of just bashing all the other parties, then maybe they would have won?

I actually voted Labour, only due to the area I live in. Our system isn't democratic due to the way seats are gained in Westminster. Id have voted liberal Democrats if we had a fair voting system that makes every vote count.

if we had true demcacy the tories wouldn't be in power at Westminster, it would be a labour / snp coalition.

Its the poor that will feel the pain. They have already scrapped a welfare benefit to help the disabled into work.
The rich get tax cuts.
