Obamacare isn't socialized medicine so what does that have to do with it?

Maybe we should just go back to the tax rates of the good ole days of 50 years ago before the liberals went and screwed everything up..

I'd be paying about 65% of what I currently do in income tax. Go for it!

Have YOU seen the quality of WEAPONS socialists use?
Not to mention a socialist leader won't fly if they claim it ,we have lost TOO MANY troops to errant "Progressive Socialists" and a back lash is due sometime soon for this courrent wave of social order to be kicked back rather hard or at LEAST as hard as neccesary.
IF HISTORY is any indicator ...and it ALWAYS is.

I did a search to see if Bernie is for taxes, this is what I found:

Bernie Sanders Demands War Tax On Millionaires To Pay For GOP Military Spending Increase

Quote from Senator Sanders
Republicans have been telling us for years that because of high deficits we have to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, nutrition and virtually every program that benefits working families. On the other hand, their concerns about deficits seem to disappear when it comes to war and defense spending. The Republicans took us into protracted wars in Afghanistan and Iraq – and ran up our national debt by trillions because they chose not to pay for those wars. Instead, they put the cost of those wars on our national credit card. Yesterday, Republicans on the Senate Budget Committee voted for an increase of $38 billion in defense spending – all added to the deficit.

The Republican Party is going to have to end their hypocrisy with regard to deficits and the national debt. They are going to have to be honest with the American people. Wars are enormously expensive, not only in terms of human life and suffering, but in terms of the budget. If the Republicans want another war in the Mideast, they are going to have to tell the American people how much it will cost them and how it will be paid for. This is an issue that I and others intend to raise forcefully during this week’s debate on the Senate floor. I strongly expect that there will be amendments demanding that Republicans tell us how they will pay for another war.
source

The article sucks because as its overly partisan; the real message should be, anytime politicians choose to spend large sums of money they should have to show plans of where the money will come from.

Apples to Oranges- comparing nations of different technical capacity and claiming the funding of construction is responsible for the design gap?

And what American troops died because of progressive socialism exactly? Are you about to tell me that if we'd skipped the great society and upped troop levels in Vietnam to a million that we could have won and not prolonged the war?

LBJ is the model being used to fight the current war on terror what with the crippling ROEs and all.
NO, socialism modifies down to the lowest common denominator, not that this predator capitalist buisness model is much more effective.
McNammara beyrayed us all for that system in backing France's claim all gussied up as a fight afgainst communism. THAT is oligarchy not governance.
MOST still don't get it.
I 've lost too many friends in Scial Democracies here and there so ABSOLUTELY not.
Once the guy gets in they ALL abuse it then guys like ME have to go fix it.

Your ER cost won't go down... well maybe eventually over time from the pools but that wasn't my point. What you will and do see, if you look is less tax money paying unpaid hospital bills (with interest mind you).

I'm unsurprised that you favor the let them die approach.

So to bring this back home, you might be inferred to expect from historical examples that Bernie Sanders will make the war on terror worse and get us into another war? If you do in fact agree with that, do you have an idea of how this is likely to happen?
What I'm getting at is whether you are proposing a working model of American policy shifts based on the power of liberals or just a political lens through which to interpret past events.

the problem: Americans now expect to have some sort of health insurance. They were sold a bill of goods that ACA in no way was meant to meet.

The only solution at this point: complete insurrection, or state run healthcare. Which, to be honest, isn't even an American thing.

Actually not at all.
I would look for further extended social activism more assaults on traditions and the military and if he chooses to ignore the world like our CURRENT POTUS, WWIII.
We don't NEED any more politically driven entities we need LEADERS who have done things in their lives BESIDES the legal profession ,banking and politics.

Americans expected to live in dry communities following the passage of prohibition... that didn't stop the intelligent repeal of that boneheaded law 80+ years ago and I don't believe American's expectations should prevent this boneheaded law from being repealed today.

Currently there isn't anything I'd call "America's thing." All of our things have died in the past 50 years. It's time for us to visit those grave sites with a copy of the Necronomicon (foreword by Barry Goldwater) in one hand and a fistful of candles in the other, and raise those ideals from the dead, setting them loose across the nation to reclaim what the country should look like.

Now you are talking "city" vs "country". That is the dispersal of politics in the country, with the more urban areas tending to be more on the blue side, with rural areas being red.

Eventually that dynamic will be an issue in America, as rural values are eroded in a mob rule wielded by the more populated urban centers. It already happens in Illinois and NY.

That nationwide EMP blast can't happen soon enough for me.
