Here it is in a nutshell.

I have no desire to draw any picture of any prophet of any religion.

When you make it a law that I can no longer do so. . . . I will draw 10 pictures every day.

You don't have to like Geller.
You don't have to appreciate her ideology.

But if anyone refuses to stand beside her, then when it happens to an actual freedom you do care about, well, then you're screwed.

Don't you just love modern "Fauxcialism" ?

as an American, can you back up what you say, I don't pay much attention to UK political details.

She's not doing this for "free speech"! She's hiding behind free speech. If she REALLY believed in free speech, she wouldn't be on a crusade to eradicate Islam in the US.

Pamela Gellar is no champion of free speech or religion, unless it's HER speech and HER religion. She's an Islamophobe. Of COURSE a radical Imam who calls for the death of people is an idiot, but he's just exercising his free speech, right, Pamela?
I think she's an idiot who's doing this for entirely selfish reasons, but I also see her as serving a useful purpose in her idiotic quest. And that's exposing radical Islam for the stupidity it is.

Buddy i dont particularly hold with the lady myself. That being said the guy is essentially promoting the idea of murdering the woman in question simply because of her views and exercising her right to free expression and speech. Thats wrong both in America and in my own United Kingdom. Fact is if he had said what he has on Facebook or similar social media forums he would be arrested, as he dam well should be.

Don't you think we're already pretty aware of how stupid and dangerous the radical religious are?

Nope, I don't think we really do. Just like with Charlie Hebdo, there are people who are saying "They brought this on themselves". For what, drawing a freaking picture? It's stupid, and frankly if I lived in the U.S. I'd go to one of her events and submit a drawing of my own. It's something that needs to be discussed, and while I don't like Gellar, I'm glad she's putting a spotlight on the absurdity of it all.

An interesting question is why FOX chose Choudary as a representative for the Muslim community, much like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are selected to represent the Black community?

Do those extremist promote unity or hatred to keep us fighting among ourselves?

A while back Muslim spoke up against the Media using Choudary as a spoke person.

Muslims criticise BBC interview with preacher linked to soldier's killer :
www.theguardian.com...

Shunned by the Muslim community, Choudary's views are condemned by all of its leading organisations. Despite his extremist views, he was give

"It was a massive error of judgment and it does so much damage," said Julie Siddiqui, vice-president of the Islamic Society of Britain. "Why him? He has no legitimacy in the Muslim community."

1. He's wrong to suggest that she should die, but it's his opinion. His free speech. It's not illegal.
2. She's NOT doing this because of free speech. If that were her cause, she'd support Muslim's right to free speech, too, but she doesn't.

I don't know about social media, but it's not against the law to say what he did. Buddy.

I'm sure the police computer would show up with "DO NOT DETAIN" as he gets arrested. Someone wants this douchebag doing this. It's not a coincidence.

I don't care about her ideology.

I care about the freedom of expression.

I don't have to agree with her in order to support her right to free expression.

Or anyone else's right to free expression.

I see a religious nutbag and a attention seeking nutbag here....what she did was no better than what that crazy terry Jones threatened to do with the burning the Koran.
The likes of Choudry just lap this stuff up because they can use it to further there own cause.

No one worries about a group's right. They worry about their own. They don't become worried until someone reaches for something of theirs. By then they are the only one left because they watch everyone else be drug away. Somehow society has become a One for Me and All for Me instead of the One for All and All for One. (Or however that would work.) No one gives unless there is something for them attached, no one worries until it reaches them. And this is what it becomes....

Threatening someone's life is not against the law? It is over here in the UK, and the twat does reside in London.

Freedom of speech and expression does not make it appropriate to threaten a Woman's life or a Mans for that matter. It does however make it perfectly legal if a little in poor taste to draw a caricature of whatever prophet you care to choose.

No they won't.

You bought the headline nonsense.

Islamophobia, Antisemitism & Homophobia are already illegal if it's a violent attack...

But it won't go down as a hate crime on criminal records until Labour get in.

So, now you know!

Its sincerely disgusting people can equate drawing a picture of a nonexistent thing to killing someone.

It is no surprise all of those people are liberals.

I can't imagine how seeing this from your point of view would be. I think that your position may be even harder to understand than ours. [HUGS]

Probably feels the same a Christians feel towards Westboro.

Broad brush, bad name, defend our position, called an apologist...

Same Schmidt different day.
