At no point did I see the fish climbing, only decending. So it is my assumption that it was originally in the body of water causing the waterfall and was washed over the edge.

not from the life docu i mentioned. the gobies in that climbed a couple hundred feet but you can see them do it here too

snakeheads can migrate across some long ass distances on land as long as their gills are wet.
