Washington state Democrats have indicated that their candidate for governor has gained a margin of eight votes and will win the election. Neither King
County or the Washington Republican party would confirm the new vote count. The Democrats say they derived their numbers using the data from the
county which has finished its hand recount but has to reconcile the totals with the precincts.

OLYMPIA, Wash. - The head of the state Democratic Party said late Tuesday that recount results from King County give Democrat Christine Gregoire an
eight-vote victory in the closest governor's race in state history.
Neither King County nor the Republican party could confirm the hand recount results on Tuesday night. But if the Democrats' analysis is correct, it's
a stunning reversal in the gubernatorial race, which has been hotly contested ever since election day.
Republican Dino won the first count by 261 votes and won a machine recount by 42 votes.

Well, no doubt the Republicans if this holds up will demand a recount of their own given the narrow margin of victory. Add to that the mysterious
votes that appeared according to the state Democratic party that were ruled void by a judge. This seems to be the new wave. Recount until you get the
victory you want. What is going to happen if the enviable Republican demanded recount goes the other way?
