Which would eventually get progressively more complicated. Slowly enough to elude the average attention span, of course. Just like always.
I know people hate it when you say things like this but let's be realistic. We're a hell of a lot more screwed in this world than most people are
willing to acknowledge. There are not simple, fair solutions to most of the world's problems. The primary reason for that is human nature itself. You
cannot initiate any kind of mass action that someone will not figure out how to abuse. You cannot come up with a system that doesn't utterly screw
somebody. You cannot make containment mechanisms that cannot be defeated eventually.
Life is temporary. Things deteriorate all by themselves. Add a bunch of human beings with their own motives and ideas and concepts into the mix and
you've got the full chaos of nature eating away at whatever you've tried to do.
