Reports coming in all over Facebook about a large meteor seen streaking across the UK and breaking into three fragments.

From Scotland right down the south of England.

Did anyone here witness it, or even better, get photos?

Yes saw it, I'm thinking it part of the Lyrid Meteor shower but, it was slow although very bright, and had a orange to yellow low burn out of debris at the end. The time was within the minute of 10.10 local time here.

To add I see woogleuk's post now, and that's about spot on from my point of view in Newcastle Co Down, and I viewed the burn out as in the direction of Belfast which is North of here.
