I turn on the TV, lo & behold a marathon of Uncle Grandpa!

Rejoice!

The battle for LGBT rights is over, let the indoctrination of incest into our children commence.

/sarcasm?

Ya, but this is America. We blur out nipples, but have some of the most violent programming in the world.

But "UNCLE!!! GRANDPA!!?"
This is subtle unconscious conditioning at its worst.

It was also the most horribly written & stupid kids show I've ever seen.

Just the thought of watching the majority of modern television and i can feel my brain melt. I may as well as take some Thorazine, followed by a liberal helping of whiskey, and I'll achieve the same effect.

Wouldn't surprise me if the producer has a copy of the communist manifesto. Attack the moral standing of the society.

That's a real show?!?!?!?!?

Oh, wow.......I can't even begin to comment on this one. SO glad my kids aren't of an age to browse around for cartoons anymore! Looney Toons on dvd works, when they want some!

I can't even imagine what nostalgia will be like for the next generation or 2...
Glad I wont have to find out.

Oh......wow........there are no words I can post on that!

They won't have any nostalgic memories at this rate, on such things; just nightmares.

It's a surreal show, hence the name.

You are hardly the target demographic so I would think it's pretty much as worthwhile to complain that Power Rangers is unrealisic.

Get over it.

I am attempting to help you to not froth at the mouth due to the title of the show... the tagline goes "everybody's uncle and grandpa".

Now you can of course interpret that as him having had sex with all of our nans and aunties if you like and being the incestuous progenitor of all of us, or you could just take it as a non threatening avuncular family member thing, in a surreal way.

But you do seem to think that it heralds the end of society in some kind of way, and that modern kids TV is rubbish.

And yet they have Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe and a host of other shows laced with the surreal, which may well be regarded as classics in future. They are sure a whole lot better than, say, original Thundercats, Masters of the Universe, Dogtanian, Pokemon and Mysterious Cities of Gold.

You could just watch something made specifically for adults too. Or turn the TV off and do some other stuff.

Please tell me that you were watching it with kids, too.

I'm a bit meh over it.. first time i saw it with my son i was all "what's this rubbish" but then i realised i was over 40 and should just stop being an old stick in the mud.

I don't think my dad thought much of Secret Squirrel or Battle of the Planets if i'm honest, but he let me just get on with it.

But Regular Show and Adventure Time? Even better than Danger Mouse.

Big claim, i know.

Danger Mouse is legend, no arguments there
But some of the stuff my lad watches (which i lap up too) makes me get all Sheldon and his "Golden Age of Television"!

Regular Show is Godly, and Adventure Time is way too good for kids
