Critics of "Agenda 21" have seen it as an evil for years - ranging from bad policy to an erosion of national sovereignty to a harbinger of one-world totalitarian government, grounded in radical principles of environmentalism and socialism. Montana's House Judiciary Committee entered the debate on Monday, endorsing a bill resisting Agenda 21.

Problem is....Agenda 21 is real and needs to be stopped.

The traitor that signed the USA into it...*ahem BUSH*...was adamantly for a new world order and had no problem signing away our rights. Any ideas that involve stripping away property ownership and the rights of sovereign citizens are traitorous to this nation and it's citizens. Those who support this nefarious agenda are no better and will be labelled as such. This has absolutely nothing to do with "science". It has to do with control and their agenda as world leaders to create the ultimate form if control. They want one world government and if we sit idly by, they will get it.

If you are stupid enough to believe we need that type of system....then please forgive my opinions of you. Globalism is not the answer.

Sadly what always happens is they use the ol divide and conquer technique, creating yet another dialectic. Who is against the environment and critical thinking? Why only crazy people like the ones who watch the freaky video we are showing you as we tell this story. They do their best to make people believe that only kooks and extreme militia people would possibly align themselves with a different world view than the one offered in Agenda 21.

God gives you choice, man trys to take it away under the guide of greater good (the 1 % totalitarian control world wide). I bet you Bush will have his property in Equador and Texas, as well as Bill Gates and the Clintons will have all of their desires fulfilled all the while forcing others to live within their imposed structure.

If Socialism/ Communism worked (which this will become) do you think there would be a filthy rich class driving Mercedes and living in Castles in China or the old Soviet Union? No...anything good in this proposal is there to dupe the public into accepting this utterly imprisoning totalitarian desire by the few...but they are masters of belittling those who dont agree and setting the people against themselves.

Push back against what? From what I read it is a voluntary program.

Driven agendas like this find fruition through inculcating a sense of right or wrong in two divergent social paradigms. They seek success of their final product by driving people against each other, belittling one over the other by shame on one hand and morals on the other...isnt it obvious?

The problem with this whole idea is that any type of planning or organizing must be due to the evil "agenda 21".

I don't pay attention to these stories because I know that anything the conservatives cry about is usually bogus or gigantically exaggerated. Not to mention that we need planning because if we don't the whole country will be one big ghetto or trailer park.

I don't understand that train of thought except it is fear and a problem that is not a problem. You are assuming someone other than you are not capable of critical thinking. I guess the Montana legislators have lots of time on their hands.

Montana House Committee Pushes Back Against “Agenda 21″

In the United States, over 528 cities are members of ICLEI, an international sustainability organization that helps to implement the Agenda 21 and Local Agenda 21 concepts across the world. The United States has nearly half of the ICLEI's global membership of 1,200 cities promoting sustainable development at a local level.[9] The United States also has one of the most comprehensively documented Agenda 21 status reports.[17] In response to the opposition, Don Knapp, U.S. spokesman for the ICLEI, has said "Sustainable development is not a top-down conspiracy from the U.N., but a bottom-up push from local governments".[13]

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully lobbied against an anti-sustainable development bill in 2012, arguing "It would be bad fo

Agenda21

Slips through...

ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, founded in 1990 as the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, is an international association of local governments and national and regional local government organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development.

The association was established when more than 200 local governments from 43 countries convened at its inaugural conference, the World Congress of Local Governments for a Sustainable Future, at the United Nations in New York in September 1990.[1] Today, more than 1200 cities, towns, counties, and their associations in 84 countries comprise ICLEI's growing membership.[2] ICLEI works with these and hundreds of other local governments through international performance-based, results-oriented campaigns and programs. It provides technical consulting, training, and information services to build capacity, share knowledge, and support local government in the implementation of sustainable development at the local level. ICLEI's basic premise is that locally designed initiatives can provide an effective and cost-efficient way to achieve local, national, and global sustainability objectives.

Lol
Am I assuming that?
Perhaps the Montana house feels they have something pertinent to push back on...the world sure is a better place with people like you telling us what is or isn't a problem.

The reasons Republicans don't like sustainability is that it's a lot easier to make a ton of money unsustainably and destructively. Also it doesn't require as much thinking, or giving a damn about anything besides themselves, which republicans are philosophically opposed to.

Listen...im no Republican. ..im a man with my own thoughts...try out my thread on soil and see who is truly sustainable. Its laughable that you folks fall for the dialectic. I am an organic inspector and an herbalist...and a perma culture farmer...where do you form your opinions of people CNN or FOX? THEY ARE THE SAME DAMN THING. Look up " dialectic"

I mean...to some degree I understand where you're coming from..I just don't think people realize what a short hop from global agendas like this one it is too a totalitarian government. Once they move all money in the world to electronic media, ultimate control is in the hands of the few...if you cant see the potential problem in some of these happenings...I may be on the wrong website.

"Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development."

The wrong forum would be where "ideas" require a reactive law to kill it. Unless the words non-binding and voluntary have new meaning.

Forgive me for kicking an old thread, but I am catching up on alot of ATS topics... and UN Agenda 21 is on my list. I briefly looked at the history of Agenda 21, signed by Bush and handed off to Clinton and a decade later rejected by the RNC platform, etc etc. Ok, this a news to me. Does anyone find it interesting that the current administration is pushing agenda 21 items like common core, global warming, healthcare, etc and I swear that party lines are divided along Agenda 21. It took me by surprise because it's not public knowledge that Agenda 21 even exists and why the politicians draw their party lines based on this document. When you first look at this document, it looks really favorable for lower/middle class but after further reading here on ATS many of you seem to things this is the full blown NWO implementation. May be true... I have not had time to read the 350+ pages, but I stumbled upon this document after Googling "Why do Republicans deny Global Warming" and there it was: Agenda 21. Ok now I have a better understanding of how NWO persists in the whitehouse even though the we have a new man for the job (regardless of political affiliation). I do want to mention, there is never any mention of NWO or UN or Agenda 21 as issues for any candidate although each one is fully aware of it. Why don't they just come out and say "I am for/against Agenda 21" or is that a given? I cannot say Agenda 21 is all bad, but from what I have read there is alot of issues about big money, land use/natural resources that Americans will fight over for decades but I don't think Agenda 21 is going anywhere and it will be rammed down our throats whether we like it or now. It think "sustainable development" will win over "sovereignty" and it probably does not matter what country you live in. I mean... even the pope is pushing the agenda. I just wanted to give some anecdotal evidence of agenda 21 in action.... Here in my hometown, there is a major power play for water. The state of Mississippi vs Tennessee for rights to an instate aquifer going to the supreme court next week suing for a billion dollars because Memphis pumped 325 billion gallons since 1985. I am sure there are similar power grabs occuring all over the planet.
