It amazes me that any civilized country doesn't have a nhs type of service.
Whilst not perfect they saved me as a kid and it would have cost my parents many thousand pounds if not for our nhs.
Long live the nhs and continue to fight for her.

Lol, I know what you are saying.
I prefer to live in a country where everyone out of work has free dental treatment.
Matey is probably only going on about 'TV Murica' not normal poor people. I bet I'd find a high percentage of missing teeth and painful decay in any poor area of any US town. Living with infection because they can't afford the dentist.
#ing disgrace in any 1st world country I say.

I can't remember the quote by the founder of the nhs but it went along these lines.
No country can call itself civilized if the sick have to pay for treament.
On my phone so if you can find it?.

...and going back to my initial post in this thread, if that's how the US government treats it's own citizens, is it any wonder the rest of the world distrusts them?

Who says that? Where have you seen it? Do you even comprehend the concept of charity and helping out others? I have so many charitable donations, I haven't paid taxes in 3 years.

Here you go:

no society can legitimately call itself civilised if a sick person is denied medical aid because of lack of means.

I'm guessing Lombard Street is that long steep road often seen in movies ... leading to Frisco Bay

I believe the Penny Farthings had no brakes ... I am sure boymonkey will know if that's true ... A Big Splash! would surely be the result

You prefer to live in a country that is smaller than Texas, with about twice the population of California, and less than 1/5 the population of the US and want to be taken seriously? Please. Again, without US intervention, you would all be speaking German. You get to have a snotty pretentious attitude because US soldiers died to allow that. I truly wish we would have just left you there to burn. At this point, Nazi Germany would have been a better ally than a bunch of British nobodies with too much access to the internet.

Nobody that I know cares what UK citizens think or whom they trust. I think you are missing that part. You THINK you will be fine without us. We KNOW we are fine without you.

I note you refrained from commenting about my post which stated my support for our submarine nuclear attack defence capability.
Pick and choose much fella?
Y'all could wipe us out and we can wipe your capital city and others out so y'all have to think twice when you think of #ing with us. Lol, our nuclear deterrent is an equaliser.

*Edit*
Just nipping 300+ stone steps down my hill to catch the shop before it closes...fancy another 4 cans lol
