Memorial tree for Michael Brown cut in half, stone memorial missin

A memorial tree for Michael Brown was found cut in half and a stone memorial was missing less than 24 hours after being dedicated.

Regardless of how you feel about how Brown was killed..to do this is disgusting. Cowards!

My money is on it being someone close and in the neighborhood to keep the people riled up.

But I agree.... Disgusting regardless.

And another situation that shows why we can't have nice things.

It must have been agents provocateurs trying to set up blame.

The Ferguson fumble-flop isn't over with yet.

My money says it's one of the store owners.

I'm LOL at every thread I'm reading today.

ETA: Brown got what he was asking for. He didn't deserve a memorial.

The cop had to give up his job. Anyone caring about that? LOL

Provocateur move? Seems less likely. There are many that really don't believe these shootings are police corruption. You know unless a NeoNazi, or Sovereign citizen is having issues with police. Remember, hands up don't loot! Either way it's divisive. With that there's no end in sight to this corruption.

Apparently roughing up a cigar owner is a death sentence doesn't hurt to be black also but killing someone, being white and begging to be shot...well...all you get is a warning.:

Ohio policeman praised for not killing murder suspect yelling ‘Shoot me!’

Like I said before "crazy world we live in where a white man has to beg to be shot..but be a minority...all you need is a flinch or look in their direction"

Someone is dialing up some bad karma by destroying a memorial for the deceased. Special kind of sick.

Sad. Let the dead rest in peace - they won't be 'troubling' anyone again.

Should we look into the where about's of al Sharpton?
I'm sure he wouldn't mind inciting another riot..

Sad? Please tell me what Mike Brown accomplished that's worthy of a memorial. For that matter, please tell me what you think he might have accomplished had his life continued.

Putting up anything to remind the community of the tragedy Ferguson became isn't about closure. It's about BS and remembering things in the wrong light. I'm offended. If 'they' want a memorial let 'them' put it up on private property. Cutting that tree was an act of civil disobedience and an expression of free speech ... depending on your perspective.

You can look back through the pages of history and find many names you won't find public memorials for. They're people society generally shuns. There's lots of 'em. Why is thug Brown special? Because 'some people' are just stoopid?

How about all of the people who lost their property, businesses or even that immigrant community that lost citizens to hammer wielding black thugs near there who were bludgeoned to death in the aftermath? Why must it be agent provocateurs when the Brown family provoked deadly rioting that a memorial can also represent. It was too soon to stick a memorial out there, that in itself is provoking.

Use it to remember him as a person or as a low life. Nothing is accomplished by removing or destroying such thing. Even if a person 'goes bad' there is family that remembers the person in their better days.

If that is a benchmark there are millions headstones / memorials that need to be dealt with on this planet.
