Disgusting wouldn't even come into the same hemisphere as the word one would use to describe this. I don't know what that word would be, and it may need to be invented to cover this occasion specifically but...

We forget where medicine has been. Used to be doctors practiced a method of healing patients by doing exactly that . Letting leeches remove the contaminants in the blood.It was called "bleeding" or "leeching" I sure am glad medicine has progressed.

Yeah, a pretty creepy procedure.

They actually still use them today. For slow blood removal in certain areas.

And they are cheap too, at only $7 a piece apparently

I have read it is coming back for certain ailments. The doctor actually offers this as an option in some cases. I guess it would be all natural.

I haven't seen that one yet. I keep meaning to.

They are still used medicinally.
If you have a severed digit reattached, they put leeches on the area to prevent blood clotting.
I am still shocked by the size of that thing.

But it does beg the question, what does it say about the person who wants this as a pet?
