Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. I live a mundane life. boring life, A life that is basically a means to an end. You spend 17 to 20 years at school and getting an education only so you can buy a house, car, pay bills and retire on 200k if you are lucky. I mean there will be little experiences through out life that may be fun, seeing a movie, getting married, growing a garden. But this is not enough for me, I am extremely board with life to the point were I am coming onto this site looking for answers on how to get off this planet or escape this mundane life and really start living, experiencing and enjoying life with out any constraints put there by religion or our governments. Like we all know there is such things as aliens, we all know technology has been suppressed here on earth so big companies can make money off out of date technology and medicines.

I am studying to be a games developer, and am a expert 3d modeler. I guess the best thing about becoming a games developer is you can create you own reality's with in your games even if you just escape all the worlds problems for just 15 minutes a day.

I look at the sky every night and I get a sense that there has to be more to life then this. But then I think what ALEX JONES has said, Earth is a prison Planet.

Well he is 100% right, Our governments suppress technology, And suppress and forbid us to meet aliens from other planets, The van allen belt prevents humans from pretty much leaving earths outer orbit with out getting sick from radiation, Religious dogma that corrupts our thinking,
big companies and governments care about nothing but money and running the human soul into the ground with taxes and obscene prices.

I have been a member or the "OTO" Ordo Templi Orientis, Ive been a catholic, I have been a member of Scientology, I have been a high degree Free Mason, I have been a spiritualist And yet none of these things has brought me any step closer to the truth or a escape from living a mundane reality.

Apart from a reality check witch I am sure many of you are suggesting that I need, If I wanted to open up a whole new reality of living were money is no issue, No knowledge is suppressed, Were traveling to other planets or in space was in reach for me "in stead of just a dream" Were you had access to forbidden knowledge and technology that 99.9 % of the human population have no idea about how would I go about it?

As I said there has to be more to life then living a mundane life that equals just a means to an end.

Any suggestions ?

Get off the internet, go for a walk, meet normal human beings.

Alex Jones is paranoid and spreads his paranoia all around him. This planet isn't a prison. It's BS

If you feel powerless it's because you are depressed. Maybe you should consider taking care of this depression by exercising more and spending less time in front of computers.

And if despite all this you still hate this reality and planet, and can't see it's beauty and the beauty of its people (excepted a few) then there is always an exit door from this reality you despise so much, but I would never recommend it to anyone.

e: and if you tried scientology, masons, OTO, religions etc and still found no answer it's maybe because you look for an easy way out where you don't have to do any effort. Maybe this is simply a lazy attitude that will bring you nowhere?

In the end if you feel tired, powerless and hate this world, it's definitely depression.

And these things we write that our joy may be made full."

Can we start a club? I'm not sure if it's depression that causes this feeling of the mundane or the feeling of the mundane causes depression. Not sure how old you are OP but I'm pushing 40 and have felt this way my entire life. Bad news but it doesnt get better.

Sure there are a few ups but mostly I'm just bored. This world feels pointless. Utterly pointless. Which in turn causes me to want to just lay in bed.

I check ATS in hopes of hearing that the global melt down has started. When things like the ebola scare, jade helm, walmart closures etc happen everyone else feels scared I feel excited and like life has been breathed back into me. And then it ends up being a let down just like everything else.

Sometimes I think maybe I was put on this earth to help people get thru the end times if this really is the end times. Most evryone around me seems scared when the thought of end times comes up but I freaking can't wait.

Unless you treat your depression.

"Feelings" are mostly chemicals flowing in your body. If you want to fix your feelings, you have to fix your internal drug machine.

Doesn't have to be with more drugs though, a healthy life is the first step to beat depression:

- Less/no alcohol
- Less/no nicotine
- Less/no weed or other drugs
- More exercise
- More sun
- Better social life

When you feel like #, when you are bored, it means your internal reward mechanism is broken, usually by not fulfilling the points above.

You are like all the people coming here for the doom porn. All you want is the whole world to burn with you because you cannot see beauty in it anymore.

You are like the mad Nero who burned down Rome. You are part of the problem, not the solution.

Most people don't believe or care about end times. You are only projecting your sick doom fantasies.

If you can't even find a meaning to your life when there is no doom, people will never trust you in case of more difficult times.

You are having wishful fantasies of being helpful during the end times because you aren't helpful today. You hope a cataclysm will make your life better. This is selfish and psychopathic thought. You should try to fix your life today instead of dreaming of brimstone and fire for the world. Such thoughts are sick.

That was the first post on ATS that I have starred before reading the whole thing, props for starting so directly and to the point...

I don't have much to say to you though, life is an illusion... You make of it whatever you wish, and nothing matters. Our planetary experience is confined to the planet's boundaries... Physical laws, the human mind, we are stuck in these lower dimensions! There's much more than this, but we cannot perceive it enough... Sometimes in deep meditation or deep sleep we can sense the beyond, perhaps try something new... Explore the realms of your inner self, that is the key for understanding the Universe (as we are made of the same stuff)

And if you are looking for things outside... Just go and travel as much as you can. I don't know if our planet is somewhat a prison, perhaps so but traveling and wandering the Earth is one way of sensing this freedom... Which you cannot get out of a mundane life in a mundane city, with a mundane job. Cities are inherently boring, we have disconnected ourselves from nature by sticking together so hard.

I hear ya OP!
I felt the same way for years.
There is the possibility that you are suffering from depression, I know its a 'catch all' term but it is very real and can blight your life.
The key to this is within your grasp.
You have already made he first step by acknowledging that it is your world view that depresses you and more importantly you came on here to seek advice.
This means that your subconscious is actively seeking a way out and wishing for some meaning to your existence. That is the first step, not to altering your outlook (so much crap in the world that it simply refuses to be ignored) but in learning to live with it and hopefully use it to your advantage.

You are not your career, don't let that define you as most people do and become what they do. Simply do whatever it takes to obtain some money to do what pleases you. Do something small but constructive that harms none. It could be as simple as planting a few flowers where there are none. The internal spiritual pleasure you will gain will surprise you even with the smallest acts of kindness and positivity.

Nature is really your friend here. Go somewhere isolated and just be. Doesn't have to be for long, a fifteen minute walk in some woods raises the spirit like no drug could ever hope to.

If you are lucky enough to be able spend longer in the wilderness just sit and listen to the silence/sounds of nature and simply exist and you will gradually become aware of an inner you that is usually drowned out by the whole world shouting at once, all trying to hold onto the illusion of power.

When you do this you will become aware that it is outside influences that are literally corroding your spirit and that you do have the inner armour to deflect their attacks.

You just have to realise your inner strength, we are stuck here on this ship of fools and there is no land in sight. Do you succumb to the waves or do you seek out a tiny dot on the horizon and head for it.

You have the power, its up to you what to do with it.

A free and independent mind is a hard thing to live with, and rarer than you'd think, but it is also your most precious asset. Use it.

We are not machines. There is a Native American quote that I love and speaks volumes: "A man's heart away from nature grows hard" ~ Standing Bear Oglala tribe. "Civilization" has disconnected man from spirit. We need nature in our lives. Also we should explore our consciousness like our ancestors did. Governments are the devil incarnate. ANY entities that try to control your reality, go against the plans of Khod.

Remember you always take you with you wherever you go.

Make things about someone or something else, volunteer at an animal shelter, take down syndrome kids horse riding help some foster kids anything take your head out of being about you. We don't need Aliens as you suggested to land to make us help each other.

If you enjoy traveling maybe work on a animal rehab sanctuary in Africa or Asia.
Africa has animal and children orphanages you can work and live at whilst you travel. Nairobi has an awesome Orphanage the kids you will love to bits, South Africa has Big Game sanctuaries you can help feed injured elephants or build fences to help stop large animal extinction. They love taking backpackers for anywhere from 5 days to 3 months

Taking your head out from being about you to others will help.

We have two entire over stimulated generations. Everything thrown at them to "entertain" them whilst growing up that when they have to make it about themselves they were so overstimulated they find everything mundane in adult life.

You can focus on a business also opening up something you want to work on that takes you out of "stimulate me" to focusing on building and creating.

ETA some therapy may help you build some good foundations on what direction to take.

Best of luck

Unfortunately OP specifically said he likes video games because it helps him fleeing the complexity of reality and the problems he faces.

Unless he changes his attitude he embarked himself for a ride to always more boredom and depression.

I like how you clearly explains where is this coming from ; over-stimulation. Maybe OP can realize that video games are actually part of the problem instead of the solution. Sometimes you have to learn to do nothing but take your time and self-reflect. To go outside and let the universe surprise you.

Reality cannot always be as exciting as a video game or a blockbuster. Becoming addicted to such stimulation is a cause of suffering.

for the love of christ man!! leave the material world out of it and get back to nature, earth, enjoy the mountains beaches go fishing canoeing... that is where life is at not the hussle and bussle of city business and meetings! relax and be with yourself on close love ones where there is nothing but you and the world! than you will realize how small and insignificant you are to this world and all that brain washed stuff about school married job blahahaha just gets you ready for the corporate controlled material world, that you work for for the rest of your life!

my 2 cents

Giving up all your material possessions, then heading out to nature and sleeping every night under the stars is awesome at first. You get sleepy as soon as the sun sets and wake up as soon as the sun rises. You become in-sync with the life support system we're all bound to, rather than feeling separate from it, which is what living within society causes (a separation from our natural environment).

But its not a long-term solution. Obviously at first its all poetic and exciting, but it becomes just as boring as living the rat race after a while. Besides, living to long without running water or electricity will turn you full on feral after a while! lol.

'Acceptance', as stated in my original post is the only real answer to the OP's problem. Just don't ask me how to achieve it, I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

We record these extreme extremes of life and people start to expect that.

If only most people knew that to be part of the 1% globally you only need to make $34,000 a year..

Know that right now 95% of the world has less resources then you and a majority of them are having a good ole time. You just gotta find what turns your dial and dive in whole heartedly.

Controlling addictions us the first step to truly being happy. Wether it be video games or drugs or sugar or church or whatever. Being able to moderate your own life in a positive fashion builds confidence and helps a lot. When you know the actions your planning on taking will lead to positive results it's much easier to act.
